Financial Reporting Accountant
Purpose and Scope/General Summary: We are looking for a Financial Reporting Accountant to join us at our Corporate office in Greeley, CO. The position’s primary responsibilities include preparation of USGAAP and IFRS financial statements and disclosures, preparing audit schedules, answering questions from external auditors, and researching accounting topics. This position is located fully onsite.
Responsibilities:
- Data accumulation and analysis of balance sheet and income statement accounts to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting
- Preparation of quarterly/annual USGAAP financial statements and footnote disclosure requirements with a strong understanding of GAAP requirements
- Assist with quarterly reviews and annual audits by preparing audit schedules and support
- Assist with preparation of IFRS financial statements and footnote disclosure requirements
- Assist with other monthly and quarterly external reporting requirements (banks, government, etc.)
- Assist with special projects as needed (bond offerings, acquisitions, etc.)
- Research USGAAP and IFRS accounting issues
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required, Accounting or Finance preferred
- 3-5 years of relevant experience; combination of public accounting and industry experience preferred
- Strong US GAAP reporting knowledge, including financial statement preparation and review
- Proficient computer knowledge, with emphasis in Excel or spreadsheet functionality
- Excellent time management skills
- CPA a plus
- IFRS reporting knowledge a plus
- General ledger knowledge including consolidation accounting and foreign currency translation
- SAP experience a plus
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to interact with various levels of management (plant personnel, corporate, executive management, treasury, internal audit, etc.) and external auditors
- Quick learner and the ability to complete responsibilities independently with proper training
- Can perform the functions of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation
- As a salaried position with the company, you may be required to travel at some point to other facilities, to attend Company events, or as a representative of the Company in other situations. The applicant who fills this position will be eligible for the following compensation and benefits:
- Benefits: Vision, Medical, and Dental coverage begin after 60 days of employment;
- Paid Time Off: sick leave, vacation, and 6 company observed holidays;
- 401(k): company match begins after the first year of service and follows the company vesting schedule;
- Base salary range of $70,000-$90,000;
- Incentive Pay: This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s annual bonus plan, the amount of bonus varies and is subject to the standard terms and conditions of the incentive program; and
