Regional Sales Manager-South East
 
 
Purpose and Scope/General Summary: Regional Sales Managers (RSM) are responsible for achieving growth goals against established KPI’s within a defined geographic region. RSM’s will also assist with completing sales initiatives across multiple Food Service channels, as needed to achieve organizational goals.  The regional sales manager will provide sales leadership with assigned broker partners while driving sales with key operators.
 
This position will be remote (home office) and our ideal candidate must currently live in the South East Region. This territory covers NC, SC, GA, FL, AL and part of TN.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Regional expert for Pilgrim’s further processed products and plant capabilities.
  • Deliver growth to region by managing all aspects of operator sales and sales segments including regional chains, key large leverage operators, convenience store chains and non-commercial
  • Collaborate and coordinate with Sr. Director of Sales and key Broker personnel, to achieve overall growth targets within region.
  • Achieve budgeted sales objectives.
  • Manage and maintain pipeline integrity within Pilgrim’s CRM platform.
  • Establish sales relationship with key regional chains and c-stores in all relative markets.
  • Review analytics and conduct regular meetings with each broker market to measure results and adjust strategy.
  • Negotiate program agreements (rebates / discounts) for operators as necessary.
  • Plan, schedule, develop, and execute sales trainings and new product introductions with brokers and key operators.
  • Support regional business development activities including key food shows, sales meetings and trade shows as necessary.
  • Regular collaboration with Division Leadership to develop regional strategies and execute national initiatives.
  • Introduce and successfully gain distribution with new products and implementing supporting programs.
  • Effectively manage MDF dollars at regional level to support growth initiatives with key Operators and Distributors.
  • Stay abreast of marketplace needs and changes to include competitive activities and report information back to senior management.
  • Work with Cannel Marketing Managers, CSRs, and Trade Investment Department
  • Work with broker teams, distributors, operators and their cross-functional teams as necessary (R&D, Culinary, Purchasing, etc.)
  • Ability to work in a remote office environment
  • Other duties as assigned
 
Qualifications:  
  • Bachelor's degree preferred or 5+ years' experience in foodservice
  • Foodservice Sales is strongly preferred
  • Must be able to travel 50+%
  • Protein (poultry) experience preferred
  • Ability to represent Pilgrims and sell our brand and corporate mission
  • Strong customer relationships and negotiation skills
  • Basic computer skills-Microsoft Office
  • Collaborative/Accountable/Results driven/ Detail Oriented
