SANITATION 1st  Shift  
Hourly Clean-up Production  

 JBS, MEMPHIS is hiring quality, motivated people to join the Empire Sanitation team as general laborers. The positions include but are not limited to the following duties:
 

Responsibilities
  
·To clean and sanitize machinery and floors in a production line setting 
·Responsible for all basic cleaning in and around assigned area 
·Set up, stocks, and maintains cleaning equipment and supplies 
·Monitor and maintains sanitation and organization of assigned areas 
·Operate heavy equipment 
·Expect to work hands on at high speed and times to life over 50 pounds 
·Stay aware of your surroundings and notify a supervisor if you recognize a hazard 
·Perform other duties as needed or as assigned 
Functional Requirements  
·Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50lbs on occasion 
·Ability to stoop and bend at the waist on occasion 
·Must use proper personal protective equipment effectively 
Work Conditions  
·Must be able to work in a very cold, damp environment 
·Production and maintenance settings 
·Exposure to various chemicals, machinery, and knives 
·Slippery floors, cold temperatures, and loud ambient noise 
Qualifications  
·Strong desire to work hands-on work environment 
·Good attendance and safety records 
·Must be 18 years of age or older

Must be able to work for long hours in a no-kill food processing environment, where it is wet, damp, and cold.  Temperatures are frequently around 34 degrees, and employees are expected to remain in these conditions for most of their workdays.
