- Previous experience as a Beef Modernization Sorter or comparable harvest floor position
- Strong leadership and communication skills

- Harvest floor knife experience and ability to sharpen and maintain a sharp knife
- In-depth knowledge of beef anatomy, physiology, and pathological disease processes
- Excellent decision-making and problem-solving skills

Job Description:
The Beef Modernization Team Lead is responsible for overseeing and supporting the daily operations of the Beef Modernization Sorters. This position ensures that all team members perform duties in alignment with company standards for Food Safety, Quality, and Productivity.
The Team Lead will monitor workflow, provide on-the-job training, and verify that all sanitary dressing procedures and trimming standards are followed accurately. Strong observational skills and precise knife-handling ability are essential to ensure correct decisions related to pathology, presentation, or potential dressing deficiencies.
The Team Lead will act as the primary liaison between Sorters, Supervisors, and USDA-FSIS Consumer Safety Inspectors, ensuring clear communication and efficient coordination between departments. The ideal candidate will promote a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and safety.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Benefits: Vision, Medical, and Dental coverage begin after 60 days of employment.

- Base salary: $27.00/hour (DOE)
- Bonus: Eligible to participate in the Company’s annual bonus plan; the amount varies and is subject to the standard terms and conditions of the incentive program.
