Wild Fork Foods Maintenance Technician: Starting Pay $22/HR. Location: Lenoir, NC

Purpose & Scope: Conducts machine setup, troubleshooting, repairs and preventive maintenance service. Performs all responsibilities according to safety, predictive and productive maintenance systems and processes to support the achievement of the site’s business goals and objectives.

Purpose & Scope: Conducts machine setup, troubleshooting, repairs and preventive maintenance service. Performs all responsibilities according to safety, predictive and productive maintenance systems and processes to support the achievement of the site’s business goals and objectives.
Principle Responsibilities:
- Perform building maintenance duties as assigned by supervisor
- Preventative maintenance and repairs on the mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Trouble shoot machinery quickly and effectively
- Preventative maintenance and repairs to Rendering equipment such as conveyors, gearboxes, augers, and pumps
- Complete all tasks in the safest and most efficient manner
- Experienced and knowledge of high-speed manufacturing /packaging equipment to include hydraulics, pneumatics, pumps, valves, cylinders, case formers, labeling equipment, fillers, and conveyors. Knowledge of welding (S/S, Mig, Tig)
- Day to day maintenance and repair to equipment.
- Perform Labeling and Tagging of systems and/or checks for verifications
- Troubleshoot and repair high speed food processing and packaging equipment
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical problems on production equipment
- Support the plant equipment, and maintaining a safe plant meeting all federal, state and local environment requirements
- 110v control
- Comply with all safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
- Working Conditions:
- Physical demands: Climbing including ladders, lifting, working with a variety of hand and power tools, shop machines and tools.
Work environment: Must be able to work in areas of extreme heat, and very cold conditions.
Requirements: Previous maintenance experience with,
- 480 Volts
- Control Circuitry
- PLC
- Electrical
- Multi Meter
Education: Minimum of High School diploma, GED or equivalent with technical skill training in the maintenance area
Experience: 2-3 years’ experience in fast paced production facility
Special Skills:
Experience: 2-3 years’ experience in fast paced production facility
Special Skills:
- Basic computer skills a plus
- General knowledge of machinery in plant that applies to the industry.
- Must be able to learn quickly and make good decisions.
- Must be able to work in a team environment and perform a variety of duties.
- Good mechanical aptitude
- Good technical skills
- Ability to communicate fluently in English, both written and verbal
