The Department Lead manages team members on the production floor while ensuring safety, GMP compliance, quality, and production targets are met.

- $1.00 Shift Differential for 2nd and 3rd Shift

Primary Responsibilities
- Manage team members and ensure safety and GMP compliance on the floor
- Meet production targets and yield goals
- Change film (top and bottom) and zippers
- Operate or learn all RTE equipment including Multivac, slicer, peeler, pack off, Osprey, box erector, palletizer, label, and tape machines
- Complete production and QA paperwork for each line
- Perform product and line changeovers
- Monitor equipment performance and maintain proper function
- Inspect product packaging for seal and zipper defects
- Train new team members
- Maintain accurate production and downtime records
- Provide effective communication and employee feedback
- Work closely with supervisors, management, and USDA
- Assist Supervisor and Superintendent with other duties as assigned
Key Responsibilities & Accountability
- Manufacture product consistent with specifications
- Complete mandatory safety training
- Complete mandatory food safety and GMP training
- Assist with product reconditioning as directed
Work Environment & Physical Demands
- Work in a refrigerated environment (10°F–40°F)
- Stand for extended periods of time
- Lift up to 40 lbs
- Fast‑paced environment with repetitive motion
- Ability to work multiple shifts and overtime as needed
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- Previous manufacturing experience preferred
