Group HR Operations Business Partner Role Profile
 
Purpose of Role
The HR Operations Business Partner plays a critical role in delivering operational HR excellence within a fast-paced, private equity-backed education environment. This role provides daily operational support to the Head of HR and Workforce Planning and serves as the key HR point of contact for the ISP Central team. Working across HR systems, employee experience and business partnering, the role ensures scalable, compliant, and high-impact HR service delivery aligned with rapid organisational growth and change.

Group HR Operations Business Partner Key Responsibilities
Operational Support to Head of HR and Workforce Planning 
  • Provide responsive, day-to-day operational support to the Head of HR and Workforce Planning, ensuring the smooth execution of core HR processes including onboarding, employee lifecycle changes, performance management and policy implementation.
  • Support HR initiatives tied to workforce growth, due diligence, integration and optimisation across the whole group.
Business Partnering 
  • Act as the dedicated HR Business Partner for the ISP Central team, ensuring a seamless employee experience across functions.
  • Advise and coach line managers on HR policies, employee relations, performance management and best practice approaches to people leadership.
  • Collaborate closely with Shared Services and HR Centres of Expertise (CoEs) to support consistent and scalable HR operations.
HR Systems and Processes  
  • Champion the effective use of Workday across the ISP Central team to support efficient and optimised HR operations.
  • Support with the identify and implementation of improvements ensuring scalability and alignment with our rapid expansion and evolving needs.
Cross-functional Collaboration 
  • Partner with the Workday SME team to align operational HR systems, including HCM, talent, compensation & benefits and onboarding with broader workforce planning, experience and engagement strategies.
  • Contribute to system improvements, data quality initiatives and post-acquisition HR readiness.
Employee Experience 
  • Ensure HR processes are simple, intuitive, and compliant, contributing positively to the employee experience across multiple regions and cultures.
  • Continuously assess service delivery and identify improvements that support employee satisfaction and retention in a dynamic, education-focused organization.

Qualifications and experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or equivalent HR apprenticeship or qualification
  • 5 years of HR experience, ideally in a private equity-backed, high-growth, or multi-site organisation
  • Proven track record in HR operations and HR business partnering, preferably within a service sector
  • Strong hands-on experience with Workday
  • Understanding of global HR compliance considerations and employee lifecycle management
  • Experience supporting M&A, integrations, or advising on HR processes in fast-changing environments is highly desirable
