Process Improvement Specialist
We are looking for a proactive and skilled Process Improvement Specialist to drive continuous enhancements in the manufacturing processes of UAS. The selected candidate will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to optimize workflows, minimize waste, and boost productivity.
Key Responsibilities:
Lean Principles: Drive the adoption of lean manufacturing methodologies (e.g., 5S, Kaizen, Kanban, Value Stream Mapping) throughout the production floor to reduce waste, streamline workflows, and improve efficiency.
Waste Reduction: Analyze current production processes to identify sources of waste (e.g., time, materials, labor) and cooperate with other teams to eliminate inefficiencies.
Process Improvement: Collaborate with production teams to continuously improve manufacturing processes, ensuring consistent product quality and operational efficiency.
Value Stream Mapping: Map out current processes to visualize the flow of materials and information required from raw materials to finished products.
Continuous Improvement: Lead Kaizen initiatives and other improvement initiatives, creating a culture of continuous improvement.
Training & Development: Train and mentor employees at all levels in lean manufacturing techniques and best practices. Ensure that lean principles are fully understood and implemented at every stage of production.
Performance Metrics: Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) related to production efficiency, cycle times, waste reduction, and cost savings.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, quality assurance, supply chain, and other teams to ensure that lean principles are aligned across the functions.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree, preferably in Engineering .
Previous experience in operations management or similar role in a production environment.
Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing principles, tools, and techniques (5S, Standardized Work, Problem Solving,Kaizen etc).
Proven track record of successfully leading process improvement initiatives and achieving measurable results.
Strong analytical skills, with the ability to use data to drive decisions.
Project management skills and result driven personality.
Excellent communication, ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Familiarity with ERP systems and data analysis tools.
Fluency in Latvian and English.
