We are seeking an experienced Integrated Product Team (IPT) Lead for Ground Support Equipment (GSE) to oversee the development, integration, and delivery of mission-critical support systems for our uncrewed aircraft systems (UAS).
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development, integration, and delivery of GSE for uncrewed aircraft systems, including Ground Control System (GCS) hardware, launcher mechanisms, tracking antennas, radio hardware, battery chargers, spare kits, field support kits, containers, transport cases, and hand controllers.
- Work cross-functionally with manufacturing, program management, and field operations teams to ensure GSE solutions meet operational requirements.
- Oversee hardware selection, system integration, and testing of GCS components and field support equipment.
- Ensure that GSE solutions are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Develop and maintain documentation, including schematics, CAD models, and Bills of Material for GSE systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical challenges related to GSE hardware and system integration.
- Provide leadership and guidance to team members, managing multiple workstreams and priorities simultaneously.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience in aerospace, defense, or UAS industries, with a focus on system composition and support equipment required for unmanned aircraft operations.
- Experience with UAS ground control system (GCS) hardware, including laptops, antennas, radios, and networking systems.
- Knowledge of power management systems, battery chargers, and electrical interfaces for GSE applications.
- Familiarity with ruggedized field support equipment, including spare kits, transport cases, and deployable solutions.
- Understanding of communication protocols and radio frequency (RF) systems used in UAS operations.
- Proficiency with digital tools for GSE development, including schematics, CAD, and Bills of Material.
- Experience managing hardware selection, system integration, and testing of GCS components and field support kits.
- Strong leadership, project management, and organizational skills, with the ability to oversee multiple workstreams simultaneously.
- Good spoken and written English communication skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in mechatronics engineering, aerospace engineering, systems engineering, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering or a related technical field or equivalent experience.
