Sampling Studio Manager, HBAC Creative

Reporting to Kelly Culver, Creative Director




  • Support the strategic vision of the HBAC division
  • Support the creative, product development, brand and marketing teams in maintaining the highest brand standards and best practices
  • Work closely with account executives to manage category specific workflow and associated timelines
  • Leader of a 3-member studio, senior sampling artist and sampling artist
  • Invest, mentor and grow the sampling studio team
  • Project assessment with team to strategize executional plan
  • Give clear, concise and articulate direction for best results
  • Expected to be a team player and equally execute the daily workload
  • Studio Maintenance (prepping card stock/boards, changing lamination rolls and cleaning and organizing studio)
  • Handle a heavy workload consisting of multiple SKUs and line extensions in a demanding deadline-driven environment
  • Responsible for file printing, product sampling, building comps, creating product and trend boards and building planograms and assets
  • Proofing all lasers and Epson prior to mounting and comping
  • Quarterly supply inventory breakdown request pitched to
    Creative Director and GM
  • Keeping the sampling studio updated quarterly with surplus of necessary supplies and maintaining professional appearance
  • Research and explore state-of-the-art technology and more efficient ways to create optimal presentation opportunities for sales and marketing teams
  • Learn and be an expert of all functions, technology and process that is institutional to the studio
  • Good computer knowledge to print, save and organize files
  • Provide additional creative support and finer details on special projects and retail presentations
  • Collaborate and contribute to the creative process







  • BA or BFA preferred
  • Minimum 4+ years of relevant hands-on and supervisory experience
  • General knowledge of Apple Computer, Adobe Creative Suite
    and Epson Printers
  • . Must be experienced using production tools and equipment

     (xacto knives, laminating, hot foil stamping and Xyron adhesive machines)

  • Must be able to meet the physically demanding nature of the comping process
