Position Summary:       
       
We are seeking a dedicated, data-driven, and highly analytical Sr. Category Manager to join our team and contribute to our mission of providing innovative solutions that elevate and enhance the home cooking experience.  The Senior Category Manager will lead Category Management efforts at Cuisinart, developing strategies and action plans for key retailers to drive the right assortment, shelving, distribution, and promotions, ensuring the highest level of brand visibility and demand.       
       
Responsibilities:       
       
As the Sr. Category Manager at Cuisinart, your primary responsibilities will include:       
  • Collect, aggregate, and synthetize main retail and sales data from standard syndicated platforms, retailer’s point of sale (POS) data as well as internal shipments information. Develop planograms thar reflect these insights and needs of the brand, shoppers, and retailers.
  • Provide actionable insights and recommendations to build the brand in retail environment by analyzing data from platforms like IRI, Nielsen, NPD (both syndicated and consumer), DOMO, JDA (ProSpace), providing critical intelligence and insights for decision makers on go-to-market plans, share, shelf, promotion, distribution, etc.
  • Understand and formulate key business questions; answer them through fact-based analyses that deliver insights and actionable recommendations to drive business performance at each retailer / channel, including tracking and recommending actions to enhance or correct performance of new items.
  • Deeply understand and monitor competition, marketplace and industry trends – keep a close pulse of all competitive moves and assess product / assortment opportunities to drive brand growth across channels.
  • Collaborate closely with Product Development, Marketing, Operations and Sales on new item introductions and product supply planning.
  • Lead reporting of POS data and key conclusions / recommended actions. Deliver compelling visual presentations to a range of stakeholders, including executive leaders, managers, and operational partners.
Competencies/Requirements:       
       
To excel in this role, you should possess the following competencies and meet the requirements:       
  • Strong analytical skills, with solid technical knowledge of main syndicated data platforms.
  • Ability to craft actionable and compelling insights and stories from large sets of data. Demonstrated expertise in business analysis, with a track record of delivering data-driven insights and recommendations.
  • Demonstrate a high competency in business analysis.
  • Demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively and facilitate cross-organizational teams.
  • The ability to communicate in a clear, concise, and understandable manner both orally and in writing maintaining frequent contact with internal and external partners.
  • Must be adept at developing and maintaining strong business building relationships with key customer contacts.
  • Operates autonomously and as a Subject Matter Expert within the Category Management team.
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 5+ years of Data / Sales Analysis, Category Management or Consumer Research required.
  • Experience working in consumer product goods preferred.
  • Experience working with a syndicated service (NPD, Nielsen, IRI)
  • Willingness to travel as needed to fulfill job responsibilities (1/3 of time).

Environmental Factors:       
  • Working conditions are normal for an office environment.
  • Must be able to sit for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to use a computer keyboard and view a monitor for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to travel domestically and internationally for business (% if needed)
  • We currently operate on a hybrid schedule; 3 days work in the office; 2 days work from home.
