Position Summary:       

The Northeast Regional Account Manager serves as the foremost point of contact for all sales-related matters, embodying the pivotal role in revenue management and the execution of brand strategies and objectives for BabylissPRO's suite of professional hair tools, clippers, and trimmers.  

  

In this exciting role, you will develop and build strong sales relationships with redistributors, wholesalers and independent beauty stores. This requires frequent travel to accounts in Connecticut, New Jersey, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, New Hampshire, Maryland, Washington DC, Delaware, West Virginia and Pennsylvania.   

  

In this role, you will lead the implementation of a comprehensive Omni-Channel growth strategy within designated territories and accounts. You will actively foster the expansion and enhancement of our current distribution channels while nurturing and advancing existing business relationships.    


Responsibilities:       

Prepare product proposals to present to key account personnel to maximize placement of BaBylissPRO products. Partner with Distributors to understand their promotional strategies and deliver high-impact promotional plans       

Forecast projected monthly and annual shipments on monthly basis accurately to maintain customer and company inventories.       

Conduct weekly buyer meetings and periodic business reviews to refine inventory forecasts and promotional planning.       

Prepare merchandising, advertising, and assortment proposals to maximize market share of company and present proposals in a professional manner to customer. Prepare programs that will support customer’s merchandising goals. Lead and/or participate in all other National Sales initiatives as directed by the National Sales Director       

Develop and execute joint business planning that delivers on customer and company objectives.       

Lead sales presentations, business reviews, and category updates using POS, NPD, and additional in-house resources such as marketing, category management, and consumer research.       

Utilize customer POS data, NPD data and other analytical tools to maximize product placement, sales, and profits.        

Monitors the competitors' brands and products as well as our market share, and competitor market share to understand trends and opportunities for our brand.       

Prepare monthly sales reports analyzing marketplace trends, retail sales, individual account trends and competitive activity, and share these key learnings with appropriate members of your internal team as well as your assigned customers.        

Manage UPP/MAPP policies at all assigned customers.       

    

Essential Qualifications:       

  • 10+ years of sales experience, beauty industry is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Office Suite skills (Query tools, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Strong customer service, negotiation skills and ability to interact with customers at all levels throughout their organization.
  • Self-starter with excellent time management, multi-tasking, strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
  • Strong work ethic and sense of integrity, trustworthiness and ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
  • Creative in brainstorming and proposing new ideas and solutions to existing problems.
  • Adaptability and strong problem-solving skills.

        

Environmental Factors:       

  • Working conditions are normal for an office environment.
  • Must be able to sit for extended periods of time
  • Must be able to use a computer keyboard and view a monitor for extended periods of time
  • Heavy travel required; up to 75% of the time. 
  • Candidate needs to be centrally based within the listed territory.  Ideal candidates live in the NJ/NY area.
