Position Summary:

The Marketing Director will oversee all facets of marketing for the Travel Smart, Conair Home and Oral care categories.  We are looking for a talented marketer with a passion for product, who can drive innovation, push creative boundaries and deliver results

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and understand the market, sales data, and industry trends to be able to align the vision for the brands with marketing goals.
  • Develop and execute new product innovation from the ideation stage through launch.
  • Collaborate with sales colleagues to translate consumer, retailer and shopper understanding into innovative effective concepts and brand ideas.
  • Manage artwork and packaging development and coordinating approvals with key stakeholders.
  • Manage marketing research, following up on product launches and promotional activity to provide teams with regular quantitative and qualitative reports.
  • Managing and tracking of budgets to ensure programs meet objectives.
  • Develop and translate the brand voice throughout all marketing activations to ensure the brand is accurately represented.
  • Develop high quality and effective marketing materials that align correctly with the overall brand strategy.
  • Lead the development and implementation of innovation strategies and promotional elements that drive sales.
  • Provide support in the implementation of comprehensive marketing communications strategies, including all new product launches.
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of competitors, category, market, consumers, products to garner insights, to feed into the development of new products, go-to-market plans, and develop strategic initiatives.
  • Track performance, identify issues, trends and opportunities, and continuously improving plans and their execution.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required in marketing or related field.
  • 8 + years of experience working within the consumer goods industry, preferably small electrics or personal care.
  • Autonomous, self-starter able to navigate an ever-changing competitive landscape and nimbleness to pivot accordingly.
  • Desire to mentor and inspire team members with your strong marketing vision.
  • Able to work without being micromanaged. Confident to make decisions.
  • Creative thinker who can take initiative and is capable of building, launching and managing projects and programs that drive results.
  • High energy and a positive attitude with the capability of making quick decisions.
  • Promote team growth and development for a team of 3.
  • Excellent verbal and written skills; exceptional organizational skills, multi-tasking capabilities, and strong attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Power Point, Word, Excel and familiar with SAP
  • Possess the ability build and foster strong relationships with internal/external resources to optimize growth and Brand development.

Beneficial Qualifications:

  • MBA
  • Experience in the Personal Care, Health Care, Beauty or Consumer Goods industry is a plus.
Environmental Factors:
  • Working conditions are normal for an office environment.
  • Must be able to sit for extended periods of time
  • Must be able to use a computer keyboard and view a monitor for extended periods of time
  • Must be able to travel international/domestically for business about 25-30% of the time.
  • Must be Covid-19 vaccinated.
  • Must be willing to commute to our Stamford, CT office 50%. We currently work on a hybrid schedule.
