Product Marketing Specialist
Description
The Product Marketing Specialist coordinates the product category marketing strategy for North America in alignment with product management and sales priorities including product launches, event support, sales activation, public relations, and social media (product coverage includes: Gaming/Consumer Category - Desktop and All-in-One PCs, Notebook PCs).
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Plans and executes go-to-market strategy according to business objectives and ROI
- Develops and maintains knowledge in market development funds (MDF) requirements, compliance, and reporting
- Develops, communicates, and implements winning go to market plans for commercial product launches in North America
- Creates campaign/marketing materials to define messaging for assigned product category across above the line (ATL) and below the line (BTL) marketing activities
- Manages the cross-functional implementation of the plan
- Assists the Global Marketing Team at ASUS HQ in the development of the product line strategy, requiring strong diplomacy skills to build consensus between competing business needs and objectives between different ASUS regional offices
- Be the expert on the local markets, opportunities in terms of positioning and launch strategies, and the competition
- Participates at tradeshows and industry events to assist in lead generation, communicates the value proposition of the products and use cases
Required Qualifications:
Education
- BA/BS Degree in Marketing or related field
Work Experience
- 1-3 years of relevant experience
Knowledge and Skills
- Ability to think of the big picture, and has the attention to detail to execute tactics with goals in mind
- Excellent presentation skills, ability to define effective marketing tactics, strong negotiation, and financial analysis skills
- Knowledge of Business to Consumer and Business to Business, including process and key players
- Passionate attitude for sales and marketing as an enabler for a company’s growth
- Knowledge of major accounts, their customers, and their industry challenges
- Good understanding of PC technologies, able to deliver product messaging and value position verbally and written
- A keen understanding of the creative aspect of marketing, well versed in digital and print creative process and able to communicate to the production team and influence the process
- Capable at copywriting for technical products and asset creation from the ground up
- Organized with strong prioritization skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
Preferred Qualifications:
● Technology experience, particularly in Business-to-Business (B2B), PC, IoT and hardware PC experience
● Creative/advertising/media agency management experience
Working Conditions:
- Office Only: Typically works in an office environment
- Ability to travel domestically – approximately 30% travel
$65,000 - $80,000 annually is the estimated pay range for this role working in Fremont, California office. It does not include bonuses, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, AD&D insurance, Paid Time Off, EAP, and 401(k). The final amount will be determined based on qualifications & experience of the candidate relative to the role.
