Job Description Overview:         
      
The Cost Coordinator III is responsible for reviewing and validating vendor invoices. The candidate must be able to communicate and resolve issues by working with vendors for any invoice discrepancies. Must be able to analyze and simulate Logistics freight charges to highlight opportunities for cost savings or highlight risks. Must have knowledge of excel skills with a proven experience of working under tight deadlines and delivering high quality results. The candidate should be able to work independently with minimal supervision, self-motivated, take ownership, and is detail-oriented with 2-3 years of accounts or Logistic background required.        
       
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:         
  • Analyze and simulate the cost of freight charges from multiple carriers
  • Require verifying and understanding all logic and rates charged from the invoice match with supporting documents
  • Ensure payments are made on time and co-work with accounting department to resolve aging dispute invoices in a timely manner
  • Be the main liaison to work with vendors until invoice issues are solved and find root cause to prevent future issues from happening
  • Attend weekly meetings with vendors to review account status
  • Maintain good attendance and punctuality
  • Additional duties and overtime as necessary
  • Cycle count for business travel as necessary
        
Required Qualifications:         
Education          
  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related logistic field
Work Experience        
  • Minimum 2-3 years of relevant work experience
  • Billing and inventory reconcile relevant preferred
Knowledge and Skills        
  • MS Excel includes Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, HLOOKUP, XLOOKUP and set formula in Excel
  • General understanding of carrier/freight principles
  • Basic understanding of computer equipment
  • Strong ownership, detail-oriented, and time management skills
  • Ability to work confidently in a rapidly changing, fast-paced and results-oriented corporate environment where a high degree of flexibility is required
  • Be able to adapt to changes and accept constructive criticism
  • Supports reporting analysis and project management needs
  • Sense of urgency and able to work overtime when needed
Preferred Qualifications:        
  • Experience in accounting or logistics
  • Logistics carrier/freight experience
Working Conditions:         
  • Office only: Typically works in an office environment

$27.00-$32.00/hour is an estimated pay range for a Cost Coordinator III
