ActioNet is looking for a ActioNet is looking for a Technical Writer/PMO Analyst with an Active Secret Clearance. This position offers outstanding self-driven learning potential, expects a high level of commitment, collaboration with various teams and inherent work ethic.

 

Summary:

This person will report to the PMO Lead of the contract and will collaborate with teams across the program. You will work alongside the PMO lead to provide guidance and influence adherence to established best practices and processes to drive successful outcomes. In scope will be to assist in the review of project team deliverables to ensure adherence to scope and quality and implement additional processes or reviews as needed to address systemic or recurring issues. This role will conduct risk analysis for identified and anticipated project risks and assist with risk avoidance or mitigation strategies to minimize project impact. Leading internal project meetings to provide updates to stakeholders on progress against critical paths and milestones, key operational and financial measures and risk assessments will also be a part of this role. 

Key Activities:

  • Interact with Agile teams and Scrum Masters daily and aggregate status, risks, and other data
  • Maintain a wide variety of metrics and tracking documents, ensuring deadlines are met and Program Management understands program progress and forecasts
  • Assist in maintaining the program calendar, risk register, and other key deliverables
  • Develop and continuously enhance workflow processes to improve deliverable quality, optimize process efficiency
  • Work closely with technical teams to develop and update documentation
  • Design and write technical illustrations as needed to facilitate understanding of technical material and upon customer request.
  • Develop other documentations as requested by the customer
  • Additional duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5-7 years’ experience supporting Agile teams and understanding of standard deliverables
  • Ability to prepare and execute executive level briefings to/for Customer COR, Tech Monitors, SMEs, and Program Sr. Level representatives.
  • Experience in technical writing in support of highly complex projects
  • Knowledge of graphics development tools including Visio.
  • Knowledge of document publishing tools including advanced Microsoft (MS) Word, Adobe PDF and PowerPoint functions, including use of document templates and styles.
  • Understanding of IT principals and software development methodologies
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate with technical personnel and to derive technical design details for technical publications.
  • Demonstrated ability to produce quality documents within compressed schedules.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate complex business and system concepts for communication to diverse audiences and to perform business process analysis and accurately capture process information for use within documentation products.
  • Ability to provide team members with MS Word and Excel problem-solving support.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and cohesively in a team environment.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Project management training and/or certifications
  • 5+ years’ experience with PMO Operations
  • Experience supporting federal contract organizations
  • Ability to develop documentation standards and development procedures when none are present

 

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelors Degree
