Description

ActioNet has an opportunity for a SharePoint Developer requiring a Public Trust Clearance in the Washinton DC Metro area.  This is a Hybrid Role with 2-3 days a week ON-SITE. ActioNet is an IT service provider and solutions integrator headquartered in Vienna, VA that works with the Federal Government and Department of Defense. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting and updating existing sites as well as creating new sites and assisting or leading modernization efforts for the platform.  The SharePoint Developer will assist in the development, enhancement and support of SharePoint custom applications including portals, workflow applications and web sites.  Candidates must have experience working with SharePoint service applications and a willingness and interest in expanding their SharePoint skill set.  The Developer should have experience utilizing SharePoint to solve both technical and business problems.  This role includes opportunities to provide thought leadership, enhancing your toolbox of skills in areas such as Responsive Web Design Development, open-source technology solutions and join a culture of innovation. Duties and Responsibilities

 

1.       Responsible for supporting and updating existing sites as well as creating new sites and features.

2.       Develop Power Platform Applications, customized forms, custom workflows using Power Automate for SharePoint Online.

3.       Develop client side code for web applications using HTML5, jQuery, JavaScript Libraries, CSS, and other technologies.

4.       Leverage web services to access data from other systems Design, write, unit test, and document application code.

5.       Use in-depth understanding of the Power Platform to solve technical and business problems

6.       Read and interpret documentation such as requirements definitions, User Stories, technical articles and procedure manuals

7.       Write clear, concise reports, requirements definitions, User Stories, detailed design documents, and online correspondence with client etc.

8.       Provide critical thinking, problem solving, design, and most critically, attention to performance, scalability, reliability, availability at the system and components.

9.       Participate in all phases of software development with a focus on design, development, integration, and testing using Microsoft .NET technologies and SharePoint.

10.   .NET web development experience (.NET, C#, HTML, CSS, XSL, XSLT, JavaScript, jQuery).

11.   Experience developing custom lists, libraries, web parts, features, InfoPath forms, event receivers, timer jobs, web sites and applications (WSPs) for SharePoint 2013 and 2016 using the SharePoint object model.

12.   Client-side web part development using the SharePoint Framework using JavaScript frameworks and tools such as TypeScript.

13.   Extensive experience working with SharePoint Technologies (Windows Foundation, InfoPath, Forms Services, Excel Services, Search Service, Token Service and Web Services) in a variety of business environments.

14.   Assist in documenting requirements, technical diagrams, test plans, and system and user documentation, as needed.

 

Basic Qualifications

 

  1. Excellent problem solving, design, coding and debugging skills.
  2. Solid experience with SharePoint client-side development using JavaScript, Jquery and CSS.
  3. Develop client side code for web applications using HTML5, jQuery, JavaScript Libraries, CSS, and other technologies
  4. Leverage web services to access data from other systems
  5. Design, write, unit test, and document application code
  6. Solid experience working with Managed Metadata Service, Content Types and Search Metadata properties.
  7. Solid SQL skills, designing maintainable databases and developing applications against relational databases.
  8. Minimum 5 years specialized experience on top of applicable training.  
  9. 5+ years of experience with SharePoint development; including writing customized code in SharePoint Designer
  10. Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science or computer related field. An additional four years of relevant experience may be substituted for the Bachelor’s Degree.
  11. Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  12. Able to work independently with minimal supervision as well as working with a team

 

Preferred Qualifications

  1. Demonstrable experience working in a DevSecOps environment.
  2. Demonstrable experience working in an Agile environment.
  3. Working knowledge of Infopath, SPFx, ReactJS, Angular, AngularJS, REST, and/or Bootstrap.
