Position Title: Production/Material Planning Supervisor

Description:

 

This position responsible for performing duties related to planning, scheduling, and coordinating of products through the production cycle to minimizing investment and operating expenses while maximizing customer service and manufacturing resources.

This role will include the direct supervision of the position needs to manage production MO management and reconciliation on SAP, including materials monthly cycle count reconciliation and create any necessary reports the planning MRP group responsible for the overall material plan, reviewed and analyzed production target, capacity and resourced, ensure to meet production monthly and daily requirements. 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Responsible for MPS that is aligned with sales forecast, inventory targets and available capacity
  • Plan and adjust production schedules where required to manage smooth level loading
  • Daily, weekly, and monthly FG report, as required
  • Create and monitor production master plan
  • Responsible for MRP creation of Material Orders and Purchase Requisitions plan order in SAP
  • Work with production team and make sure on time delivery goals are established and achieved
  • Work to resolve material shortages, production delays, yield issues and other potential schedule delays
  • Work closely with Sales, FCST, Production and order fulfillment to align weekly build plan and resolve issues in a timely manner
  • Provide reports on production and material planning
  • Maintains critical material information in ERP system (lead-times, safety stocks)
  • Placing of purchase orders
  • Analyzes, schedule and expedite material according to ERP requirements
  • Analysis of raw material inventory levels against production trends
  • Assists in disposal of excess and obsolete materials/products
  • Firm all new planned orders and review workflow
  • Review material requirements
  • Process and communicate order received from Sales and other teams
  • Review planning actions daily
  • Trouble shooting production reporting issues
  • Ensure that all business activities are performed with the highest ethical standards and in compliance with the Canadian Solar Solution Code of Business Conduct
  • Support ISO 9001 activities
  • Communicate on any expedite or premium jobs to the production supervisors as required
  • Unplanned Scrap Reporting
  • Inventory and Scrap adjustments
  • Monthly Variance report, as required

 

 Qualifications and Experience:

 

  • Material Management diploma/and or APICs or CPIM Certification
  • Strong understanding of Bill of Material structure
  • Experience in inventory control, work order maintenance and parts allocation
  • Knowledge of supply chain management principals
  • Accounting, Business management Diploma (or equivalent Degree)
  • Minimum 3 years of experience with production/material control in a manufacturing environment
  • Demonstrated ability to complete the above responsibilities
  • Able to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, confidentially, diplomatically, and professionally always
  • Excellent time and project management skills
  • Attention to detail in all areas of work
  • Analytical and time management skills
  • Computer literacy, including effective working skills of MS Office, experience with enterprise ERP /SAP system or other software
  • Intermediate skills in Excel
  • High School Diploma, Accounting, Business management Diploma (or equivalent Degree), or industrial relevant field will be an advantage
  • Mandarin an asset
