Job Title:      Asset Manager

(Depending on work experience, title may change)

 

Reports to:   Head of Asset Management

 

Date:October 2023

 

Position Summary:

         To manage PV assets held by the listed infrastructure fund including the management of financials of each asset in order to maximize its return on investment on a medium-term basis with the Head of Asset Management, while dealing with issues relevant with PV facilities with Canadian Solar O&M (CSO&M), third party O&M companies (OM) the sponsor (CSP), third party property managers (PM) and vendors

 

Responsibilities:

        To manage the PV facilities held by the listed infrastructure fund

         To produce the annual budget at each PV facility with PM and to monitor the actual P/L of each asset including expenditures of O&M against the budget;

         To monitor the actual energy output and performance ratio against the forecasted ones with CSO&M and third party O&M companies;

         To deal with unexpected events at PV facilities by co-working with CSO&M, third party O&M companies and CSP;

         To handle the insurance claims with CSO&M, third party O&M companies and CSP when necessary;

        To enter into relevant agreements among Infrastructure Fund, CSAM and lessees and to monitor the actual energy output relative to its forecasted generation;

         To help the Acquisition Dept. by conducting the technical and legal due diligence and to support the closing in acquiring the incoming PV facilities; and

         To help Financial Planning Dept. with its timely disclosure of the damage triggered by such events and handle Q&A sessions with underwriters, lenders and credit rating agencies during the financing process;

 

Qualifications and Experiences:

         A work experience of at least 3 years in EPC, development or O&M of renewable energy facilities;

         A technical knowledge of or work experience in PV facilities;

         A work experience in civil engineering is a preferable;

         A work experience in dealing with real estate or other operational assets is a plus;

         Basic knowledge of C/F model and financial accounting is a plus;

         Business level skill in using Excel and Word

         Basic level in English reading and writing. English speaking proficiency is not a mandatory requirement

         A good ability to work with fun and humor; and

         A good team player
