Position Summary:  
The Logistics Manager, Energy Storage will be responsible for the day-to-day tactical management of multiple utility scale projects, acting at the main point of contact for all logistics activities. The Logistics Manager will work with internal stakeholders and as well as external logistics providers in coordinating shipments across the globe, taking ownership of the order book and project pipeline. This is a remote position available to those residing in the USA.  
  
Primary Responsibilities:  
  • Attend regular meetings with internal customers (Project Managers and Sales teams) as well as external customers.
  • Drive resolution of challenges with Freight Forwarders/CHB/ports in a timely manner
  • Combine and update reports daily to reflect the most up to date statuses of deliveries
  • Manage RFP bid process and carrier performance metrics
  • Publish dashboard updates for projects highlighting delivery progress and other KPIs
  • Take ownership of any damage investigations and claims
  • Manage all insurance/carrier claims and root cause corrective actions for damages
  • Ensure all SAP transactions are captured, processed, and finalized accurately
  • Work globally with planning to improve visibility of shipment plans and in transit
  • Maintain accurate filing of all signed documents such as BOL’s, POD’s Commercial Invoice, etc.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with carriers/forwarders, 3PL partners and internal customers.
  • Support PMs and job site personnel with accurate planning, regular updates, and high sense of urgency.
  • Create and manage RMA program, reconciling returns regularly
  • Provide freight quotations for domestic and international shipments
  • Manage all new carrier on boarding as well as all carrier quarterly business reviews (QBRs)
  • Full responsibility of inventory reporting and verifications
  • Support finance with internal audit requests as needed
  • Ensure DOT and Hazmat regulations are always adhered to
  • Investigate tools such as TMS, WMS, and other data efficiencies; lead efforts to obtain appropriate approvals and execute the projects
  • Coordinate and attend site visits as needed
  
Qualifications and Experience:  
  • 5+ years work experience in logistics, in both domestic and international
  • Bachelor’s degree required; or AA degree with 10+ years experience
  • Must have ERP experience; SAP preferred
  • Experience with Smart Sheets and cloud-based software programs
  • Intermediate to Advanced Excel skills required, Pivot Tables, V‐Lookups, Formulas & Function
  • Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, MS Project Plan, Visio)
  • Strong adaptability to new systems and technical platforms
  • Customer service minded and strong communication skills required
  • Ability to communicate information and ideas clearly, concisely, and professionally
  • Results oriented, organized, highly motivated, and detailed with the ability to multi‐task and prioritize
  • Ability to travel for business on a quarterly basis (15-20%)
  • Ability to work flexible hours, working globally across multiple time zones
  • Experience working with different cultures
  • Passionate about clean energy
  • Familiarity with trade regulations and policies related to lithium battery products
  
Compensation & Benefits  
Canadian Solar offers a competitive salary plus fully comprehensive benefits and performance bonus package based on an annual objective achievement. Our generous benefits package includes a 401(k) Retirement Plan, medical/dental/life/disability program, PTO, and sick days.  
  
The pay range for this position is $110,000 – $135,000. This range represents annual base salary only, without regard to location, and does not include a 15-20% bonus target that pays quarterly or incentives or benefits that may apply. The pay range for this role is subject to change.
