About the role:  This position serves as an integral member of the Transdev Performance Team responsible for proving insight, expertise, and experience in all aspects of paratransit service delivery including scheduling, dispatching, reservations, ADA requirements, and industry best practices. This position will work collaboratively with operations and Transdev corporate support departments to identify opportunities for financial and operational performance improvement at our paratransit locations. Identify regulatory compliance requirements and develop a systematic approach to implementing nationwide

. Create and manage cross functional action plans that drive improvement and act as on-site project lead for startup and shutdown activities. This position will play a key role in the development and implementation of the Professional Dispatch Development Program for paratransit.

Salary range $104,000-$130,000 annually.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review contractual requirements to set performance standards and goals for the individual paratransit contracts that maximize the contractual potential within our bid model assumptions.
  • Use the Transdev Operations Management Model (TOM) to analyze individual contract performance and develop clearly defined, cross-functional action plans that improve our net result.
  • Serve as the lead working with other Performance Team members and a cross-functional support team to develop and support the new Transdev Paratransit Professional Dispatcher Development Program.
  • Provides business analysis and on-site support to paratransit operating locations to improve performance in areas of ADA and contract compliance, service delivery, and financial performance.
  • Provides written action plans prioritized in order of financial and contractual impact including both the measurable objectives and the specific actions needed to achieve those objectives for all activities.
  • Leads and assists in activities (including process design) necessary for achieving performance and profitability targets.
  • Provides various levels of training to location management and staff on best practices and localized tools.
  • Reviews operational performance using available reports in PowerBi, Transit Management Software (TMS) and data exported in a CSV format, determines opportunities for enterprise-scale improvements and local performance reviews, and initiates cross-functional performance evaluations.
  • Oversees individual location startups and shutdowns acting as a resource for guidance to a cross-functional acting as the responsible party meeting our contractual and financial targets in these business activities.
  • Plans and oversees location operational reviews, ensuring locations are following company policies and procedures, contractual service level agreements, providing financial analysis of results to expectations, and are compliance with federal, state and local regulations.
  • Performs other duties and activities as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma/GED required
  • A minimum of 5 years transit experience in ADA paratransit operations. 
  • In-depth knowledge of U.S. ADA regulations and requirements.
  • Bachelors degree preferred.

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Knowledge of paratransit scheduling software including, at minimum, one of the following: Trapeze PASS, Ecolane, Spare, RideCo, Stratagen, Routematch, or QRyde.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically with Excel, including import and export functions, and Microsoft Planner and PowerBi experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of financial literacy concepts in a business setting including budgeting, P&L management, forecasting, and variance analysis.

 

This position will require the ability to travel to corporate and field locations (40%) mostly domestic but occasional international travel may be required.

 

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed.  Non-standard work hours and weekends expected as necessary to support the activities of the business.
  • Majority of work is accomplished indoors and in air conditioned or well-ventilated facilities.
  • Work is accomplished in an office or in a cubicle space equipped with a telephone and computer.
