Overview of Position:
Responsible for implementations of new application software and other technology solutions for transit locations throughout the US and managing the application support team and Mobi support group.
This position will oversee SOP development and training of industry specific Transdev managed applications including Ecolane, Passio, Peak Transit, Rideco, Spare, Trapeze, VDS/Mobi. Works with the VP of Operational Performance to provide onsite and remote operational support and direction for both existing and new startup locations.
Advises our operations personnel and management on how to use software, how to change business processes and ultimately how to maximize the value of our application systems and associated investments.
Takes “ownership” in continuous improvement and on-going efforts to ensure departmental staff are proficient at implementing, supporting, and training the various application systems the department supports. Recommend changes to the global product and roll-out planning for new versions.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage and lead the Business Solutions support team, providing guidance, mentorship and support. Hire, train, and manage the team and their performance through regular 1:1 discussions, prioritization of work, and delivery of effective feedback.
- Provide operational insight and integration of software to improve business processes and practices to improve performance and profitability at the locational level.
- Provide requirements for product changes to improve efficiency.
- Analyzes data for continued improvement of software application using SQL queries and generating reports within MS Report services.
- Work closely with the Vice President of Business Solutions to establish departmental goals and objectives.
- Fiscal responsibilities of managing department budget and approving expenses.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education, Licensing, and Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent direct job experience.
- Must have knowledge of transit operations; fixed route, paratransit, rail, taxi, etc.
Experience
- Minimum 10 years of work experience
- At least 4 years of management/supervisory experience, including a minimum 2 years supervising management-level direct reports.
- 5 to 7 years of transportation experience.
- Experience required in large project management and systems implementations.
- Experience managing and implementing Transportation Management Systems (Trapeze, Ecolane, Spare, Clever Devices, etc.)
- Experience required in conducting classroom training.
Skills and Knowledge
Required
- Strong organizational skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Analytical problem-solving skills, along with the ability to solve problems in a practical and pragmatic manner.
- Report writing, including tools such as SQL, Power BI, Excel and/or other report/analysis tools.
- Ability to work efficiently and accurately with little direct supervision.
- Proficient knowledge and skill required with Windows operating system and MS office programs.
Preferred
- Experience managing and implementing Mobi and VDS.
Office Location and Travel:
- Office Location – Remote.
- 50% travel to company and client locations required.
- Must be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed, including evenings, overnights, weekends, and holidays.
