Responsibilities
- Provides power steam cleaning of bus stop pads and locations using power steam cleaning equipment.
- Steam cleans transit centers, including multimodal transit centers and multipurpose transit stop locations.
- May use detergents and specialized solvents to clean bus stop and transit center concrete walkways, pads, and fixtures.
- Conducts routine, periodic, or special inspections of bus stop locations in advance of maintenance and repair work.
- Using skills from a variety of construction trades (painting, masonry, carpentry, plumbing, sheet metal work, for example), bus stop technician installs bus stop poles and signs at designated locations, either new installation or replacement.
- Frames and pours concrete pads when necessary to the installation of bus stop fixtures.
- Uses hand and power tools to repair, install and maintain bus stop signs, poles, concrete pads, fixtures.
- Drives half and three-quarters ton trucks and pulls trailer containing power equipment.
- Uses blue-prints, diagrams, drawings, and specifications in the installation of bus stop fixtures.
- May test and troubleshoot equipment and coordinates with Maintenance Department in repair of power equipment, and vehicles.

Qualifications
Education, Licensing, and Certifications:
- Must possess a valid state driver’s license with a minimum of one year of driving experience and a good driving record.
- Must be eligible for and able to obtain a Commercial Driver’s License with a Passenger endorsement within 30 days of hire.
Experience:
- Experience with operating power steam cleaning equipment preferred.
- Experience in general construction trades preferred.
Skills and Knowledge Required:
- Must be able to use all power and hand tools required by work involved.
- Must be able to operate power steam cleaning equipment.
- Must be able to operate vehicles (trucks) used in this work, including the ability to drive a truck pulling an equipment trailer.
- Must be able to read maps, understand and follow geographical directions locations designated for repair and cleaning.
- Must be able to follow written and oral instructions, schedules, procedures and directions.
- Must be able to read construction drawings to make bus stop installations.
- Must be able to apply knowledge of construction practices to actual repair, installation and cleaning of bus stop locations.
- Must be able to perform work using personal protective equipment as assigned to the position.
- Must have safe driving record that meets Transdev's safety standards.
Special Conditions:
- Steam cleaning work involves night shift hours.
Travel requirement (as a percent): 30%
