Join Our Team     

You will operate as Risk Analyst for Group Risk Team, and you will be based at our London, Stockholm, Zurich, or New York office or remotely in the United States.  To thrive in this position, you will be solution and delivery focused, energetic and have great influencing skills with 5+ years’ previous risk, audit, operations, or consulting experience in Insurance or Financial Services. You will report functionally to the global Head of Operational Risk Management and to the local CRO / Risk Lead (depending on location).  

   

Your responsibilities will include:  

  • Working with group risk colleagues to implement the evolving risk and control framework.
  • Understanding key operational processes within an insurance company, and working with the business to articulate, develop and report on appropriate controls and risk measures.
  • Continuously interacting with the first line of defence to encourage timely reporting of risk incidents.
  • Facilitating Risk and Control Self-Assessments for assigned areas.
  • Fulfilling requests for information, including drafting papers and responding to regulator questions.
  • Aggregating and analysing Risk program data to provide actionable information to management.
  • Conducting root cause analyses on identified risk incidents and control weaknesses to recommend improvements.
  • Monitoring the implementation of action plans to remediate documented issues.
  • Assisting Group and Legal Entity Risk colleagues in preparing reports to management risk committees and the Boards of Directors.

Your skills and abilities should include:  

  • Bachelor's degree in higher education and a desire to pursue further professional qualifications of bodies such as the Chartered Insurance Institute or Institute of Risk Management
  • Minimum of 5 year of experience in risk management, audit, operations, consulting, or similar roles.
  • Previous risk and control design experience.
  • Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision.
  • Strong understanding and experience in implementing new legal and regulatory requirements within the financial or insurance sector, including those governing regulated financial services entities.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders, committees, and boards, demonstrating strong communication and interpersonal skills and ability to network across stakeholders to get things done.
  • Action and results orientated, an organiser with strong planning ability, high resilience and attention to detail who works in an agile and collaborative way.
  • Capability to assist in major strategic business projects, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and goals.
  • Strong problem solving, investigative, and analytical skills to identify, address, and resolve risk issues that may arise.
  • Experience in fostering a high-performance culture through effective teamwork and collaboration.
  • Understanding of operational performance metrics, KRIs, management information (MI), and reporting.
  • Persistence and the ability to overcome obstacles and / or plan for contingencies.
  • Experience with and desire to work in an international setting with contacts in diverse locations and cultures
  • Capacity to handle diverse tasks and responsibilities, adapting to changing priorities and business needs.
  • Experienced user of key MS Office products: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
  • Fluent spoken and written English.  Proficiency in local language preferred.

   

SALARY:  The estimated salary range for this position is $80,000 per year/per hour to $125,000 per year/per hour. This is a good-faith assessment of the salary range for this position only.  In determining the actual salary within this range, SiriusPoint will consider a candidate’s relevant experience, location, and other job-related factors.
