We have underwriting hubs in Bermuda, London, New York, Stockholm Zurich and Liège, and licenses to write Property & Casualty (P&C) and Life, Accident & Health (LA&H) insurance and reinsurance globally.
 

Join Our Team

As Senior Global Claims Analyst you will technically manage an assigned workload of global Property and Casualty reinsurance claims, ensuring all claims are handled in accordance with regulatory guidelines, while applying Company and Best Practices. This position will report to the Global Head of Claims.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Verify coverage on all reported losses and establish claim files on the claim system
  • Analyze reinsurance treaties and/or facultative certificates, evaluate, recommend and post reserves and/or ACR changes on assigned files
  • Evaluate and verify contractual obligations to pay respective claims.  Recommend and process payments and recoveries on assigned files
  • Document files with status memos/updated notes, as well as action plans in file notes
  • Track occurrence and/or aggregate limits, where applicable
  • Conduct internal audits and communicate findings
  • Prepare reports for management on assigned accounts, where appropriate Prepare ceded notices and/or proofs, where appropriate
  • Participate in client meetings when necessary
  • Perform other duties as assigned or as may be necessary
  • Review and act upon, on a daily basis, the incoming mail/correspondence for assigned accounts

Your skills and abilities should include:

  • Educated to degree level
  • Strong experience in a related claims role
  • Fluent – English, other languages preferred
  • Excellent verbal and writing skills
  • Thorough working knowledge of Microsoft Word and PowerPoint. Strong Excel skills are a must.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions.
  • Ability to identify, analyze and solve problems as they relate to claims handling.
  • Possess/exude a team player job attitude.
