Join Our Team    

The successful candidate for AVP, Securitized and Alternatives will support the investment team in developing in-depth research, portfolio analytics and building portfolio management tools. Furthermore, you will partner closely with the external asset manager in optimizing the investment portfolio and ensuring alignment with the investment plan.  

 Your responsibilities will include:   

  • Work with senior team members to build and implement various investment analytics and strategies for the firm’s $6bn+ investment portfolio.
  • Support the external asset manager selection process. Conduct thorough due diligence on potential asset managers, assessing their track records, investment strategies.
  • Collaborate with the senior team members, supporting the relative value analysis and investment idea generation.
  • Actively monitor portfolio metrics, use quantitative tools to optimize portfolio performance and guide the asset allocation,
  • Evaluate potential investment opportunities in private credit and alternatives sector using a combination of qualitative and quantitative approaches. 
  • Actively monitor financial markets and provide updates and analytics on economic conditions, credit fundamentals, market color, capital market activities and shifts in regulatory policies.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with external asset managers and counterparties. Manage counterparty onboarding process and annual KYC updates.
  • Collaborate with other stakeholders to support internal and external reporting.

Technical Skills & Experience: 

  • Bachelor’s or graduate degree in finance, economics, mathematics, statistics, computer science or related field. CFA a plus.
  • More than 2 years of quantitative modelling within financial institutions with a focus on the fixed income market and products preferred.
  • Knowledge of insurance company portfolio management, capital market fundamentals, fixed income investments, securitized products a plus.
  • Data science and machine learning skills a plus.
  • Problem solving skills with ability to independently lead or participate in assigned projects. 
  • Strong communication skills. Strong ability to partner with external and internal stakeholders. 
  • Ability to effectively multi-task.
  • Driven, energetic, team oriented and ability to learn quickly.

SALARY:  The estimated salary range for this position is $180,000 to $200,000 per year. This is a good-faith assessment of the salary range for this position only.  In determining the actual salary within this range, SiriusPoint will consider a candidate’s relevant experience, location, and other job-related factors.
