Description

Key Responsibilities:​
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with MGAs, acting as the primary point of contact for program-related matters and addressing their needs and concerns promptly.​
  • Manage the onboarding process for all new MGA’s.
  • Monitor the performance of MGAs against defined key performance indicators (KPIs), contractual obligations and identifying areas for improvement and implementing action plans as needed.​
  • Collaborate with legal, underwriting, claims and business development teams in negotiating contracts with MGAs, ensuring clear terms and obligations.​
  • Develop and maintain requirements for MGAs, ensuring adherence to company standards and regulatory requirements.​
  • Assess and manage risks associated with MGAs and delegated underwriting programs, ensuring proper controls are in place to mitigate potential losses.​
  • Ensure MGAs comply with all relevant regulatory and legal requirements. Confirming MGA’s are aligned to our philosophies and values.
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify emerging trends and opportunities for new program development and growth.​

 

Key Accountabilities
  • Be a key point of contact within the Business for Delegated Underwriting related enquiries across all classes.
  • Ensure that all MGAs and Delegated Underwriting Programs are approved in line with SiriusPoint’s MGA Playbook and Policies and Procedures.

 

Technical Skills & Experience 
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Insurance, Risk Management, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications (e.g., CPCU, ACII AINS) are advantageous.​
  • Proven experience (typically 3+ years) in program management, underwriting, or managing MGAs within the insurance industry.​
  • Thorough understanding of multi-class insurance products, underwriting principles, and the role of MGAs in the insurance distribution model.​
  • Knowledge of relevant insurance regulations and industry best practices for program management and delegated underwriting authority.​
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess program performance data and make data-driven decisions.​
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills to effectively interact with MGAs, TPA’s and internal stakeholders.​
  • Proven track record of successful relationship management and customer-centric approach to business partnerships.​
