Join Our Team     
You will be our Compliance Manager, responsible for the management and day to day operation of the compliance framework, reporting to the Head of Legal & Compliance. Your role will be to help drive forwards the Compliance Function in supporting the firms, wider senior management and business functions, in fulfilling their compliance and regulatory obligations as required by Lloyd’s, the Prudential Regulation Authority (PRA) and Financial Conduct Authority (FCA).   
The range of responsibilities include compliance advisory as well as compliance monitoring and relevant deep dives to writing up reports and making recommendations for policy and procedural updates in line with Lloyd’s, the FCA and PRA regulations.  
  
Your responsibilities will include:  
  • To assist the Compliance Function in the completion and development of the Annual Compliance Plan and Annual Compliance Monitoring Plan, escalating any issues as appropriate
  • To assist in maintaining a controlled environment proportionate with the stated risk appetite to ensure that all compliance requirements are met
  • To keep up to date with industry knowledge to ensure appropriate competency levels are maintained including, keeping abreast of FCA, PRA, Lloyd’s and other applicable overseas regulatory developments
  • To assist in the maintenance of existing compliance &/or regulatory policies, procedures and processes to ensure they support the business in satisfying compliance requirements
  • To assist the with the monitoring of Sanctions and financial crime including, provide assistance in undertaking client &/or territorial sanctions screening reviews;
  • To monitor and research industry and business related compliance and regulatory developments and contribute towards the production of Management Information and the Regulatory Update for the Board and Senior Management
  • To deliver and develop where appropriate learning and development on compliance and regulation issues for employees and Board Members
  • To provide oversight and monitoring of the company’s maintenance of policies and procedures.
  • To assist with the firms compliance with the SMCR regime and the oversight of complaints.

Key Technical Skills/Knowledge/Professional Qualifications:  
  • Relevant experience in a compliance or regulatory environment – essential
  • Ability to demonstrate knowledge of PRA and FCA regulations - essential
  • Commercial experience of working in Lloyd’s &/or London company markets – essential
  • (Re)Insurance/business knowledge – desirable
  • Good understanding of GDPR requirements - desirable
  • Ability to understand detailed requirements and to interpret for others - essential.
