The Opportunity

Are you a strategic operator who thrives at the intersection of partnerships, execution, and organizational leadership? As Director, Technology Alliances & Ecosystem, you will own Nutanix’s Technology Alliance Ecosystem—leading a team of alliance managers, driving execution across strategic partner initiatives, and serving as a trusted execution partner to the Senior Director of Alliances.

This role is both externally facing and internally critical. You will shape and scale Nutanix’s technology partner ecosystem while ensuring strong operational discipline, cross-functional alignment, and measurable business impact. This is a highly visible leadership role with meaningful influence over partner strategy, execution cadence, and the evolution of the Alliances organization.


About the Team

The Alliances team at Nutanix is a collaborative, high-impact organization focused on building and scaling a world-class technology partner ecosystem. The ecosystem spans a broad range of ISV categories, including AI, Cloud Native, Security, Networking, and Data Protection.

The team works closely with Product Management, Engineering, Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success to deliver integrated solutions aligned with Nutanix’s strategic priorities.

You will report to the Senior Director of Alliances, who values empowerment, ownership, and transparency. This role operates in a hybrid work model, with flexibility based on business needs and in-office collaboration when required.

The position may involve up to 25% travel, including domestic and occasional international travel, to support partner engagement and strategic initiatives.


Your Role

  • Own and lead Nutanix’s Technology Alliance Ecosystem, driving clarity, prioritization, and execution across partner initiatives.
  • Lead and develop a team of alliance managers, setting clear goals, accountability, and performance expectations.
  • Develop and execute partner strategies that expand ecosystem value, accelerate joint solutions, and drive measurable business outcomes.
  • Serve as a trusted execution partner to the Senior Director of Alliances, helping shape priorities, drive alignment, and ensure consistent follow-through on key initiatives.
  • Drive operational excellence across the Alliances organization by tracking initiatives, monitoring progress, and proactively identifying risks or gaps.
  • Coordinate cross-functional efforts with Product Management, Engineering, Sales, Marketing, and Support to ensure partner initiatives align with company objectives.
  • Identify, evaluate, and pursue new partnership opportunities aligned with Nutanix’s strategic priorities.
  • Adapt strategies in response to evolving market dynamics and technology trends across key ISV segments, including AI, Cloud Native, Security, Networking, and Data Protection.
  • Deliver consistent, data-driven reporting and insights to support executive decision-making.
  • Foster strong internal and external relationships to enable collaboration, trust, and long-term partner success.

What You Will Bring

  • 8+ years of experience in technical alliances, partner strategy, or ecosystem leadership.
  • Proven experience managing and developing teams, including senior alliance managers.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise software ecosystems and technology integrations.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate as both a strategic leader and hands-on operator.
  • Experience leading complex, cross-functional initiatives with multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong executive communication and presentation skills.
  • Highly organized, adaptable, and comfortable operating in a fast-changing environment.
  • High integrity, sound judgment, and a collaborative leadership style.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25%, domestically and internationally.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or technical degree preferred.

Work Arrangement

Remote: This position is primarily remote. There is no specific in-office requirement, however, there may be circumstances where you may be required to come into a local office for a specific purpose, and/or to travel to other locations based on business needs.


The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between USD $ 206,400 and USD $ 414,000 per year.

However, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a sign-on bonus, restricted stock units, and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.

If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
