About the Team
Your Role
- People Leadership & Organizational Development: Recruit, mentor, and scale a high-performance team of Program Managers. Own the organizational design of the Program Management function, driving long-term career enablement, succession planning, and a culture of accountability for both employees and contractors.
- Stakeholder Management: Act as a key advisor to leadership across Sales, Services Delivery, and Operations. Influence cross-functional strategies to resolve systemic delivery blockers and ensure PMO Program Management objectives are aligned with the broader Americas PS business goals.
- Capacity & Workforce Planning: Lead the long-term forecasting and resource strategy for the Program Management function. Balance pre-sales support with post-sales delivery by optimizing regional utilization, managing "bench" costs, and strategically leveraging contractor partnerships to maximize delivery execution and margin.
- Operational & Financial Governance: Establish and enforce a PMO Program Management governance framework. Interpret trends, identifying risks to revenue, project profitability, and customer satisfaction (CSAT) before they impact the P&L, and pivoting the strategy accordingly.
- Global Integration & Cross-Organizational Collaboration: Collaborate with global PMO representatives (EMEA, APJ) and cross-organizational business units (e.g., PS OPS) to enable global consistency in program management standards and contribute regional best practices.
- Pre-sales Strategy: Direct Program Management engagement with Services Sales and Enterprise Architects to scope complex opportunities and ensure a seamless transition from "Sold" to "Started". Review pre-sales artifacts (SOWs, LOEs) to ensure service offerings can be successfully delivered within proposed budgets and timelines.
- Delivery Oversight: You will direct and oversee the development, planning, and execution of simultaneous large and critical customer programs, ensuring that all engagements adhere to Nutanix methodology and industry-standard Program Management best practices (PMI).
- Escalation Management: You will be the primary escalation point, for the Program Management team, for client-critical issues, providing the strategic leadership necessary to remove complex obstacles and restore project health. Furthermore, you are responsible for implementing the processes and tools required to provide early warning and awareness of programs that are currently escalated or have the potential to become escalated
- Executive Escalation & Risk Management: You will be the primary escalation point for the Program Management team regarding client-critical issues, providing the strategic leadership and cross-functional navigation necessary to remove complex obstacles and restore project health. Beyond immediate resolution, you are responsible for designing and implementing the governance processes and analytical tools required to provide proactive early warning and awareness of programs that are currently escalated or demonstrate a high potential for future escalation.
- Financial Management: Ensure accurate Program level backlog management, revenue management, forecasting, and attainment of as delivered margin targets.
- Operational Excellence: Ensure Program Manager compliance with PS Processes and Policies, and ensuring data accuracy, timeliness, and integrity to provide accurate real-time reporting on Program health and financial performance.
- Partner Management: Establish and manage relationships with delivery partners, to ensure partner delivered workstreams meet Nutanix quality and brand standards, and escalated risks & issues can be mitigated and resolved in a timely manner.
What You Will Bring
- 8-10+ years of experience in large-scale Data Center modernization, Hybrid Cloud, or IT infrastructure transformation programs.
- 8+ years in customer-facing professional services roles with a background in Program Management, Consulting, or Engagement Management.
- 5+ years of demonstrated expertise in people management, developing high-performing teams in a complex environment.
- Strong financial acumen with hands-on experience in P&L management including revenue, costs, and utilization along with headcount planning, revenue forecasting, margin analysis, and revenue recognition.
- Proficient in operational tooling such as PSA (Kantata or similar) and CRM platforms (Salesforce) for data-driven decision making.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder influence skills, capable of engaging with CxO-level personnel and navigating complex organizations.
- Strategic Thinking: Ability to thrive in a fluid, fast-paced environment and transform high-level strategy into executable delivery plans.
- Travel: Ability to travel up to 30–40% as required.
- Education: B.S./B.A. or MBA degree preferred.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) required.
- Program Management Professional (PgMP) preferred.
