Position Title: Construction Management, Emerging Talent Intern
Hourly Rate: $21.00 (Graduate)
All internship positions are onsite and require regular, in-person attendance at the designated work location.
OVERVIEW OF DEPARTMENT:
Facilities Station Maintenance is responsible for the maintenance of all 472 Stations in the Department of Subways. Our responsibilities span areas within the station confines. Under the leadership of the Assistant Chief, Station Maintenance Organization chart comprises of the Office of the Assistant Chief and 5 Districts. Station Maintenance is also responsible for special initiatives such as, Station REVIVE program, Platform Barrier Installation Project, Facilities Upgrades, CSA Booth buildouts, and several upcoming special project initiatives, in effort to improve customer experience, cleanliness, and safety.
Intern(s) will be responsible for administrative duties, including answering phone calls, data entry, and other related tasks. Additionally, based on the intern's educational background and major, we may request the intern's assistance in creating and managing a SharePoint system to track, share, follow up on tasks, and, most importantly, support our field personnel in improving their performance.
In addition, intern(s) may be tasked with creating scopes of work for various projects. You may also assist project managers and/or supervisors with daily site visits and tracking progress to ensure everything stays on schedule.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Project Data Tracking
- Data Entry - Updating and tracking vehicle information, booking labor, tracking and updating work progress, etc.
- Data Analysis
- PowerPoint Presentation - Creating and updating the PowerPoint presentation for Re‑New‑Vation and other capital projects.
- Data Driven Reporting
- Creating/Managing SharePoint
- Scope of Work
- Business Proposals
PROJECTS:
- Station Revive Project
- Barrier Railing Installations Project
- Stairway Components Project
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is a must.
- The candidate should possess organizational, analytical and communication skills.
- The candidate should be able to work well under pressure and prioritize tasks effectively.
- The candidate should have a keen eye for detail and be able to work independently while being an active team player.
REQUIRED EDUCATION:
- Matriculated in an in a graduate program in good standing with at least 2.8 GPA
- Major(s) Preferred: Construction Management, Project Management, Information Systems & Data Science, or related field.
