Job Summary:
This position is responsible for the supervision of activities for approximately 15 store employees represented by the TCU organization.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise Stores Department employees represented by the TCU organization.
- Monitor the Stores warehouse equipment and handle any technical problems as they arise.
- Ensure that material is shipped and delivered in a safe and timely manner.
- Maintain and update maintenance repairs performed within the Stores Section.
- Ensure policies and procedures for all functions are followed.
- All other related activities as requested.
Qualifications:
- Familiarity with warehouse systems WMS/MAXIMO.
- Familiarity with Logistical Inventory Management Systems (LIMS) or equivalent.
- Must possess strong computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, etc.).
- Must possess effective communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Prior supervisory experience preferred.
- Basic knowledge and understanding of TCU labor agreement and work rules preferred.
Required Education and Experience:
- A four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent (GED/TASC) approved by a State’s Department of Education or recognized accredited organization.
- Minimum of four years related experience, including working knowledge of procedures for warehousing, material distribution, receipting and storage.
Other Information
May need to work outside of normal work hours (i.e., evenings and weekends)
Travel may be required to other MTA locations or other external sites.
