Youth Mobile Crisis Outreach Mental Health Professional – Full-Time
Hiring Range: $32.53 - $40.67 per hour
Additional Shift Differentials Up To $6.00 per hour

As a Mental Health Professional with our Youth Mobile Crisis Team, you will provide crisis resolution services to youth in crises, emphasizing the least restrictive interventions. Your role involves conducting assessments, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, and ensuring the safety and well-being of youth facing mental health crises.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide crisis outreach services throughout Kitsap County in collaboration with a supportive team.
- Respectfully engage with clients, their supports, and community professionals, considering specific concerns related to special populations.
- Exhibit expertise in risk assessment, crisis management, and prompt decision-making to ensure secure crisis interventions.
- Comprehend and operate within Washington State's Involuntary Treatment Act and DCR Protocols.
- Manage multiple simultaneous crisis interventions and triage priorities in high-stress environments effectively.
- Conduct assessments to determine crisis levels and coordinate with Designated Crisis Responders (DCRs) for appropriate intervention.
- Manage client interviews across various diagnostic categories, utilizing de-escalation techniques and maintaining calmness during volatile situations.
- Create least restrictive alternatives for crisis resolution, develop safety plans, and identify available community resources for referrals.
Minimum Qualifications:
EDUCATION: Master’s Degree in Psychology, social services, or behavioral health
EXPERIENCE: Experienced (minimum 5 years of job-related experience)
At least five years of experience in direct treatment of persons with mental illness or emotional disturbance, such experience gained under the supervision of a Mental Health Professional.
This position requires driving clients in a personal vehicle on behalf of the agency; therefore, the incumbent must successfully complete a motor vehicle history check, possess and maintain a current, valid driver's license in the state of Washington, and have reliable, insured transportation.
LICENSURE: Agency Affiliated Counselor Registration. Must meet and maintain the definition of a Mental Health Professional as defined in WAC 388-877-0500. Must maintain a Washington State Department of Health license in good standing.
Preferred Qualifications:
EXPERIENCE: Experience with youth in crisis intervention, crisis triage centers, acute inpatient units or substance abuse treatment centers or community outreach.
Capacity to work well with children and families.
