About KMHS:
Kitsap Mental Health Services is a nonprofit organization that provides comprehensive behavioral health services to children, adults, and families. We serve over 5,600 clients each year through our inpatient, outpatient, and residential programs. Primary Responsibilities:
- Serve as the first point of contact for HR inquiries, answering frequently asked questions and directing more complex issues to appropriate staff.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation.
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements by reviewing and maintaining I-9 files.
- Assist with new employee ID badges, employee transportation program coordination, and HRIS updates.
- Process terminations, conduct exit communications, and complete verifications of employment.
- Collaborate with the recruitment team to review applications, schedule interviews, and coordinate hiring activities.
- Support the agency’s sabbatical program by tracking employee eligibility and approvals.
- Complete Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) and HRSA loan forgiveness verifications.
- Assist with benefit enrollment, tracking qualifying events, and communicating benefit changes.
- Manage benefit adjustments and coordinate with payroll for accurate deductions.
- Work with Archbright on worker’s compensation claims, maintain OSHA logs, and compile injury statistics.
- Conduct training on worker’s compensation and benefits enrollment.
- Support the tracking and documentation of employee leave, including re-certifications and return-to-work statuses.
- Represent the HR department at KMHS events and functions.
- Support HR training initiatives and provide departmental support as needed.
Minimum Qualifications:
EDUCATION: High School Diploma or GED
EXPERIENCE: Experienced (minimum 2 years of job-related experience)
At least two years of training experience.
Experience with employee benefits and worker’s compensation claims
Preferred Qualifications:
EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree (In Human Resources, Training and Development or Related Field)
EXPERIENCE: Intermediate (minimum 3 years of job-related experience). Experience with benefit reporting ACA, NDT, CMS Part D. Experience with UKG, and presenting training to groups.
