Hiring Range: $35.78 - $44.74 Per Hour

Kitsap Mental Health Services (KMHS) is seeking a compassionate and experienced Mental Health Professional to provide inpatient therapeutic psychosocial care for voluntary and involuntary adults in the Adult Inpatient Unit. Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop treatment plans for both voluntary and involuntary residents, maintaining individualized and effective plans.
- Provide short-term individual, group, and family therapy services to expedite discharge planning.
- Complete all required documentation for newly admitted clients promptly.
- Collaborate with the multi-disciplinary treatment team to implement meaningful treatment plans.
- Act as an advocate for clients' psychiatric and social needs.
- Develop discharge plans and arrange necessary follow-up appointments.
- Complete crisis stabilization training and participate in the management of assaultive clients when needed.
- Regularly assess client and staff safety, taking effective corrective action.
- Participate in QI activities, committees, and special task forces as requested.
Minimum Qualifications:
EDUCATION: Master’s Degree in Psychology, social services, or behavioral health field or must meet waiver criteria of RCW 71.24.260.
EXPERIENCE: Experienced (minimum of 2 years of job-related experience)
Two years of documented, supervised clinical experience serving youth with mental health and/or co-occurring behavioral health disorders.
LICENSURE: Agency Affiliated Counselor Registration (can be obtained after hire). Must meet and maintain the definition of a Mental Health Professional as defined in WAC 388-877-0500.
Preferred Qualifications:
EXPERIENCE: Experience with the theory and practice of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Motivational Interviewing and co-occurring substance use disorders
