Position Title: Laundry Technician

Department: Central Laundry                    

Location: Dalhart                               

Title of Supervisor: Warehouse Manager

Purpose & Scope: Maintain a high level of biosecurity, while processing the daily laundry needs of the farm.                 

Principle Responsibilities: Functions may include, but are not limited to:

• Follow all safety measures put in place.
• Properly use all laundry equipment, loading, unloading as to not cause unneeded damage to the equipment and maintain equipment integrity.
• Sort through the dirty laundry for foreign objects.
• Put the dirty laundry in the washers, with 8 inches to the top to allow for proper cleaning
• Steam mop the designated areas once washers are loaded
• Put clean laundry in the dryers, allow for at least 8 inches from the top to allow for proper drying
• Fold all of the laundry and put in coordinating bags for sites.
• Load the laundry into the van according to delivery needs for sites, as to not break biosecurity
• Maintain all of the paperwork that is needed for daily reporting
• Clean workspaces daily
• Pickup and deliver laundry as needed
• Proper use of company vehicles, no unnecessary damage, maintain company policy use of vehicles, speed and required maintenance
• Provide other duties and services as required

Qualifications:

• Previous laundry, housekeeping, or industrial cleaning experience preferred but not required. 
• Valid Driver’s License required 
• Ability to bend, move, lift and physically perform duties in the scope of this position. 
• Ability to lift more than 50lbs regularly 
• Ability to stand long hours 
• Strong communication and listening skills 
• Problem Solving   
• Ability to efficiently multi-task in a fast-paced environment 
• Familiarity with Bio-Security and swine production 
• Proven safety track record and awareness of safety issues
