Production Superintendent – Prepared Foods 2nd shift

We are seeking a driven and experienced Production Superintendent to lead our Prepared Foods operations on 2nd shift. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced production environment and is committed to quality, safety, and continuous improvement.
Position Summary
The Production Superintendent directs production and processing supervisors within a single department across multiple shifts or several departments on a single shift. This leader ensures cost‑effective, on‑time manufacturing of high‑quality products while fostering a safe, productive, and collaborative work environment.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Lead processing operations and personnel to meet established production, quality control, and cost standards.
- Oversee short-term operational planning, including shift scheduling, material requisition, machine loading, equipment maintenance, and grievance resolution.
- Coordinate with other plant functions to support output, productivity, and quality goals.
- Select, organize, train, and motivate the processing workforce to achieve production schedules at optimal productivity and cost levels.
- Recommend improvements to processing flow, methods, and operating procedures to eliminate issues and enhance product quality.
- Identify and recommend machine or equipment modifications to improve processing efficiency and product quality.
- Promote and maintain a safe working environment for all employees.
- Serve as a key liaison between USDA personnel and plant operations.
- Coordinate production activities between the plant, grow-out operations, and other facilities as needed.
What You’ll Need
- Education: High School Diploma/GED; College Degree in related field required.
- Experience: Must have previous leadership experience in a food or poultry processing facility, including at least one year of directly related experience. Directly related work experience may be used as a year‑for‑year substitute for the educational requirement.
- Skills: Effective communication both orally and in writing, capable of independent decision making, must have basic computer knowledge, strong organizational skills and acute attention to detail, ability to manage multiple priorities, and proficient in MS Office software applications.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.

- Base salary range of $69,135 - $83,998 based on experience;
