Inventory Supervisor
Purpose and Scope/General Summary: We are looking for an Inventory Supervisor at JBS located at our Mason, Ohio facility. In this position you will be under the direction of Supply Chain Manager, coordinate and oversee the daily inventory movements and cycle counts of the various inventory assets. Investigate, identify, and reconcile the discrepancies daily. Lead monthly inventory counts and inventory process audits. Maintain inventory accuracy of dry good supplies and compliance during inventory transactions. Serve as a Supervisor; train and provide work direction and guidance to assigned staff.
Responsibilities:
1. Overseeing a team of employees to achieve business results.
a. Ensuring plant Safety, GMP and SQF programs are followed.
b. Achieves inventory counts and audit targets in a safe and efficient manner.
c. Coordinate inventory control processes with procurement, production, and warehouse departments to achieve and sustain results.
d. Supports inventory personnel by maintaining a visible presence in the facility and promoting an engaged team-oriented work force.
2. Serve as a supervisor over inventory control functions; train and provide work direction and guidance to assigned team members.
a. Supervise and participate in inventory cycle counts and issuance processes. Coordinates and participate in monthly and annual physical inventory counts.
b. Regularly audit the receiving and goods issue processes for accuracy and policy compliance.
c. Maintain reports and findings of all counts and audits and report discrepancies and issues to manager.
d. Make recommendations regarding proper storage, inventory and warehousing procedures and improvements in warehouse efficiency.
e. Provides training for team members on company policies, rules, regulations and job specific duties and responsibilities.
f. Troubleshoot issues on the floor before escalating to upper management.
3. Regularly reviews all company policies and standards to ensure company compliance.
a. E21 liaison between the floor and demand planning, production, and IT Software Support
b. Ensures Safety, GMP’s, SQF policies are followed
c. Ensure that the warehouse and all work areas are properly maintained for cleanliness and safe working environment
d. Ensure that any incidents or safety issues are reported immediately.
e. Stays updated on all company policies, OSHA, and other regulatory standards.
4. Ensure all procedures are followed according to official standard operating procedures (SOPs) including, but not limited to the following:
a. Inbound receipts accurately counted in and received.
b. Put away transactions completed and move them to appropriate storage locations.
c. Production supply set up, and transactions completed daily in accordance with daily department schedules.
d. Creating and/or destroying license plates in stack-off.
e. Moving product from stack-off to the appropriate storage racks.
f. Picking license plates from the racks to the staging locations.
g. Reconciling the staging locations daily before work orders are closed.
h. Reporting any procedure or inventory deviations to upper management
I. Other duties as assigned
Qualifications: (pick applicable)
- High School Diploma
- SQF, GMP, and HACCP certification preferred
- Ability to safely operate all warehouse equipment and perform all warehouse functions
- Ability to clearly communicate and train staff
- Fluent in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook. Operate a computer and ability to input data and generate reports.
- One or more years supervisory experience
- Three or more years in inventory control processes
- Barcode scanner and SAP experience preferred
- Must be able to motivate a diverse workforce and lead by example. Must be able to coach, train, and take corrective action, including discipline, when appropriate.
- Display strong work ethics and positive attitude
- Adaptable and dependable with ability to follow direction and work cooperatively with others
- Must maintain a helpful and professional attitude and appearance
- Knowledge of product protection requirements and packing procedures
- Ability to speak, read, and write English
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Bilingual (Spanish) preferred

The applicant who fills this position will be eligible for the following compensation and benefits:
- Benefits: Vision, Medical, and Dental coverage begin after 60 days of employment;
- Paid Time Off: sick leave, vacation, and 6 company observed holidays;
- 401(k): company match begins after the first year of service and follows the company vesting schedule;
- Base salary range of [$49,585, -$60,246];
- Incentive Pay: This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s annual bonus plan, the amount of bonus varies and is subject to the standard terms and conditions of the incentive program; and [REMOVE THIS ENTIRELY IF THE POSITION IS NOT BONUS ELIGIBLE]
