Position Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated Receiving & Supply Specialist to join our team. This role is responsible for checking, receiving, and documenting all inbound goods, materials, and supplies delivered via freight or overnight carriers. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, dependable, and able to work independently with minimal supervision. This position requires strong communication skills, confidentiality, and the ability to lift up to 75 lbs. Experience with Windows and SAP environments is preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and verify all incoming shipments for accuracy and quality.
- Document and process materials using SAP and Windows-based systems.
- Maintain organized records of received goods and inventory movements.
- Operate forklifts and electric pallet jacks safely and efficiently.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams, vendors, and delivery personnel.
- Uphold confidentiality and follow company policies and procedures.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within the department.
Requirements
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
- Strong oral and written communication skills with a pleasant, professional demeanor.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to operate a forklift and electric pallet jack (certification preferred or willingness to obtain).
- Solid computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to complete tasks accurately and efficiently.
- Commitment to teamwork and continuous improvement.
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
Preferred Qualifications
- Combination of clerical experience and relevant education.
- Experience working in SAP or similar ERP systems.
- Prior receiving, warehouse, or supply chain experience.
