Hatchery Maintenance Mechanic lll- Nights

The Maintenance Mechanic lll is responsible for all maintenance to buildings and equipment at the Hatchery facility.

Responsibilities:

  • Performs maintenance on incubation equipment, buildings, and grounds at the Hatchery in the office areas.
  • Performs preventative maintenance on all systems at the facility including incubation, heating/air conditioning, alarms, etc. Checks daily for proper operation of systems, machines and equipment.
  • Monitors and maintains spare parts inventory for incubators and equipment, ensuring that appropriate parts are available as needed.
  • Monitors machine operation/performance on a daily basis.
  • Documents all maintenance issues/concerns at the hatchery and communicates to the leadership team at the Hatchery.
  • Observe & enforce all company personnel, quality, safety, and food safety policies.
  • Maintains a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner so that you work effectively and cooperatively with customers, clients, coworkers, and leadership teams.
  • Recognizes and acts on incidents and safety risks. Consistently practices, and enforces safe work habits and drives those habits throughout the organization.
  • All other duties as assigned.

 

What You’ll Need:

  • Considerable knowledge of maintenance and repair of hatchery equipment, heating and air conditioning units, and buildings.
  • Boiler’s License preferred or willingness to obtain.
  • Considerable ability to analyze and resolve complicated maintenance problems.
  • Working skill in supervising, instructing and coordinating the maintenance function
  • Good verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work with limited supervision and provide feedback to leadership.
  • Considerable ability to operate power tools and machinery.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work at elevated heights.
  • Valid Class D License
  • Ability to pass Fit test.
