Regional Sanitation Manager-Prepared Foods
Purpose and Scope/General Summary: We are looking for a Regional Sanitation Manager to join our Prepared Foods team here at JBS USA! The Regional Sanitation Manager is responsible for supporting multiple Sanitation Manager’s across several Prepared Foods plants. The role directly supports the Sanitation efforts and projects at each of the assigned plants to achieve the sanitation and safety goals of those facilities. In addition, the individual is a key thought leader and contributor to the operational efforts of the sanitation departments, driving best in class processes, tools, and harmonization across the assigned plants. This position is accountable internally for the oversight of the sanitation department at each plant and adherence to quality & food safety standards, chemical safety standards, and all processes and initiatives within the sanitation department. This position will report to the Head of Operations with a dotted line to FS/QA.
Our ideal candidate will work in one of our Prepared Foods facilities in either Colombia, MO or Moberly, MO and live nearby one of those facilities.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee sanitation operations at all assigned plants and determine the need for improvements in overall performance
- Lead initiatives to establish sanitation standards across all assigned plants
- Maintain strong relationships with chemical vendors, suppliers and influence negotiations
- Drive and develop new sanitation training initiatives and Sanitation Standard Operational Procedures (SSOP)
- Responsible for overall adherence to safety programs and policies
- Support plant objectives by reporting to the Head of Sanitation Operations on important records and reports pertaining to sanitation and safety at assigned plants
- Ensure overall optimization of chemical usage by overseeing reporting and inventory performed by the Chemical Vendor and the Sanitation Manager on usage
- Responsible for corrective actions when employees are noncompliant to GMPs, safety, cleanliness, and sanitation
- Facilitate the development and leadership of the Sanitation Manager at each assigned plant
- Drives thought leadership & process across sanitation and safety operational organization
- Able to update SOP’s or create them as needed
- Help standardize best practices through all facilities
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Preferred not required, Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering, Business Administration or Operations Management or related field
- Minimum of 5-7 years of related sanitation experience within food industry
- Proven ability to lead, influence and inspire people and promote quality, safety, and teamwork
- Strong computer skills
- Demonstrated strategic thinking abilities
- Strong organization, mechanical aptitude, problem solving, decision and technical skills
- Strong communication and analytical skills and the ability to interact with all levels of the organization
- Ability to travel— required, up to 85%
- Can perform the functions of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation

The applicant who fills this position will be eligible for the following compensation and benefits:
- Benefits: Vision, Medical, and Dental coverage begin after 60 days of employment;
- Paid Time Off: sick leave, vacation, and 6 company observed holidays;
- 401(k): company match begins after the first year of service and follows the company vesting schedule;
- Base salary range of $130,000-160,000; and
- Incentive Pay: This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s annual bonus plan, the amount of bonus varies and is subject to the standard terms and conditions of the incentive program;
