SUMMARY
Edge Autonomy is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Product Engineer to join our innovative team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in developing solutions for complex systems across various industries. This role requires advanced technical expertise, strong leadership skills, and the ability to manage medium to large-sized projects involving complex systems.
RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Product Engineer at Edge, you will be at the forefront of designing and developing advanced products for uncrewed aircraft systems and other complex technologies. You will lead the technical efforts for medium to large-sized projects, often managing multiple projects simultaneously. Your expertise will be crucial in solving complex technical challenges and ensuring the successful integration of various system components. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineers, software developers, and product managers, to deliver innovative solutions. Additionally, you will mentor less senior technical leads, fostering a collaborative and dynamic work environment.
The following job functions are a basic requirement but are not limited to and may be assigned other duties.
- Technical Leadership: Lead the design, development, and implementation of advanced products for complex systems. Testing and Validation: Develop test plans and conduct rigorous testing to validate firmware performance and compliance with industry standards.
- Project Management: Oversee medium to large-sized projects, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget and quality standards. Innovation: Identify and implement innovative solutions to enhance system functionality and performance.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure cohesive and integrated product designs.
- Innovation: Identify and implement innovative solutions to enhance product functionality and performance.
- Mentorship: Mentor and guide junior engineers and less senior technical leads.
- Documentation: Prepare and maintain detailed documentation for product designs, test procedures, and user manuals.
QUALIFCATIONS
Experience
- Minimum of 4-10+ years of experience in product engineering, with a focus on complex systems such as drones, medical devices, complex consumer electronics, or automobiles.
- Proven experience in managing medium to large-sized projects from concept to production.
- Strong background in technical innovation and project management.
- Customer-facing experience is preferred.
- Experience with defense contracts is preferred.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field is required.
- Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical, or a related field is preferred.
