We are looking for experienced Cybersecurity Specialist to join our team and help protect our systems, networks, and data from cyber threats. In this role, you will monitor security events, support incident response, and work with internal teams to strengthen our overall security posture. Key Responsibilities
  • Use cyber defense tools to continuously monitor and analyze systems in order to identify malicious activity.
  • Provide timely detection, identification, and alerts for potential attacks, intrusions, anomalous or misuse activities, and distinguish these events from benign behavior.
  • Lead incident response and coordinate incident handling across business stakeholders.
  • Run regular vulnerability scans and collaborate with Infrastructure and Application teams to prioritize remediation.
  • Maintain and manage security policies and tools (EDR, email security, firewall, IDS/IPS), tune detections, reduce false positives, and improve prevention coverage.
  • Support threat hunting activities and purple team exercises through detection engineering.
  • Map operational security controls to frameworks (NIST CSF, NIST SP 800-53 & 800-171, ISO 27001) and regulatory requirements (EU NIS2, SOX).
  • Perform internal security control testing.
  • Support audits, risk assessments, vendor security reviews, and security aspects of migrations.
  • Ensure accurate security reporting and maintain relevant security KPIs.
 
Key Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in cybersecurity, security operations (SOC), or information security roles.
  • Hands-on experience with security monitoring and detection tools such as SIEM, EDR/XDR, IDS/IPS, and email security platforms.
  • Experience with incident detection, response, and investigation in enterprise environments.
  • Familiarity with vulnerability management tools and vulnerability remediation processes.
  • Understanding of network security, operating systems (Windows/Linux), and cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks and standards such as NIST CSF, NIST SP 800-53, NIST SP 800-171, and ISO 27001.
  • Understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements such as EU NIS2 or SOX.
  • Experience supporting security audits, risk assessments, and internal control testing.
  • Familiarity with threat hunting, detection engineering, and purple team activities is a plus.
  • Relevant industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, Security+, CEH, or GIAC are an advantage.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and incident response skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with technical teams and business stakeholders.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills in Latvian and English.
