SUPPLIER QUALITY ENGINEER

We are looking for a Supplier Quality Engineer to ensure suppliers meet quality standards and deliver materials in line with company requirements. The role includes supplier selection, quality audits, non-conformance management, and close collaboration with Procurement, Production, and R&D. You will also ensure compliance with industry standards and mitigate supplier-related quality risks.
 
Responsibilities: 
  • Evaluate, select and audit suppliers to ensure compliance with quality standards (e.g. ISO 9001, ISO 14001) and company requirements.
  • Monitor and manage supplier performance using quality metrics, driving corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Lead supplier non-conformance management, including root cause analysis, corrective actions, and proper documentation in collaboration with internal teams.
  • Drive supplier development and improvement activities, supporting the use of quality tools such as FMEA, SPC, and control plans to reduce defects and quality-related costs.
  • Participate in mitigation supplier quality risks during supplier selection, changes, and throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Procurement, Production, R&D, and Process Engineering to ensure supplier quality supports production, compliance, and new product development.
  • Ensure quality warehouse material compliance with standards and manage material workflow within the warehouse and ERP systems.
 
Qualifications: 
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, preferably related to quality.
  • Experience and understanding of quality processes.
  • Understanding of quality management systems and industry standards.
  • Experience with quality methods (FMEA, SPC, CAPA) and statistical analysis.
  • High accuracy and sense of responsibility, as well as the ability to work in dynamic conditions.
  • Good communication and cooperation skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Fluency in Latvian and English is required.
