What You’ll Do:

As an experienced and forward-thinking Vice President of Technology you will lead our technology strategy and drive innovation in the homebuilding industry.  The Vice President of Technology will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive technology roadmap that supports our business objectives, enhances operational efficiency, and ensures our competitive advantage in the market.

Your Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Technology Strategy: Develop and implement a technology strategy that aligns with Century Communities' business goals and objectives. Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to identify opportunities for innovation.
  • Team Leadership: Build and lead a high-performing technology team, fostering a culture of execution, innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning. Mentor and develop team members to achieve their full potential.
  • Team Management: Manage technology team to ensure a high level of collaboration, operational excellence, and progress to both operational and project goals.
  • Data & Analytics Development: Manage data & analytics development projects and teams, ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality data solutions. Implement best practices in data development and project management.
  • Infrastructure and Systems: Oversee the management and optimization of Century Communities' IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, and cloud-based solutions. Ensure the reliability and security of systems.
  • IT Service Delivery: Oversee the management of all levels of IT Service Delivery, including service desk and desktop support while also pushing forward an agenda based on self-service and automation.
  • Vendor Management: Collaborate with external technology vendors and partners to evaluate, select, and manage third-party solutions that align with the company’s needs.
  • Perform other duties as needed or assigned.

What You Have:

  • A bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or commensurate work experience.
  • 10+ years proven experience in technology leadership roles, with a track record of driving innovation, operational excellence, and digital transformation.
  • Demonstrated expertise in and experience managing infrastructure, software development, and IT service delivery.
  • Demonstrated expertise in and experience developing and implementing technical architectures that align with leveraging existing investments in pursuit of achieving business objectives.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to translate technology trends into business opportunities.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to less technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across functional areas and influence key stakeholders at different levels of the organization.
  • Strong project management skills and experience managing multiple large projects simultaneously.
  • Expert-level knowledge of modern technologies and software development practices and patterns.
  • Significant, demonstrated experience and expertise in the following technologies:
  • Data & Analytics Development
    • Microsoft Azure – including but not limited to Fabric and/or Synapse, API Management, and AzureSQL.
    • Microsoft SQL Server
    • Qlik Replicate and Qlik Cloud Data Integration (QCDI)
    • .NET
  • Infrastructure
    • Microsoft Azure – Including but not limited to Entra ID, API Management, and Office365
    • VMWare ESX and vCenter
    • Microsoft Windows Server and associated Microsoft products
    • Cisco/Cisco Meraki Networking
  • IT Service Delivery
    • Service Desk Management
    • ITSM Reporting and Metrics
  • Excellent leadership and people management skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.
  • Must be flexible to new situations and challenges.
  • Strong understanding of the homebuilding or construction industry is a plus.

Compensation:  Century intends to offer the selected candidate an annual base salary in the range of $200,000.00 - $250,000.00 plus annual bonus.  Actual offers will be based on a variety of factors including experience.
