The Production Business Manager is responsible for all financial and legal aspects of production for all TV, radio, print and integrated productions. They serve as an expert and main point of contact for producers and for account management for all production matters.


  • Know and adhere to current client guidelines and procedures
  • Review scripts, decks/storyboards for any potential licensing, copyright or legal issues
  • Prepare estimates with producer and/or account management
  • Support agency producers on all production jobs
  • Reviewing bids and partnering with producers though all phases of production
  • Estimate and monitor and approve all production costs
  • Issue all production, stock and music contracts and/or 3rd party licenses
  • Handle any billing issues and ensure proper legal approvals are secured including any third-party trademark releases
  • Manage and monitor all production costs, process contracts and invoices
  • Estimate talent session, process contracts, and clear, book and issue talent contracts
  • Issue POs, review and approve all production invoices, and actualize and close production jobs
  • Collaborate with account management to ensure timely release and shipping of final commercials
  • Prepare all talent contracts for session
  • Finalize and document all talent, 3rd party rights secured in job jacket
  • Other duties as assigned 


  • Bachelor’s Degree in journalism, film, photography, theatre, marketing or relevant field
  • 4+ years of relevant experience


  • Have extensive knowledge and administration of the SAG/AFTRA/AFM commercials contracts. Have some experience working with Non-Union agents/talent
  • Have knowledge of legal guidelines for commercial production, licensing language, trademark, rights of privacy, copyright and production insurance
  • Comprehensive knowledge of AICP and AICE bid forms
  • Understand production workflow
  • Working knowledge of Cost Consultant process
  • Have experience working with international production and overseas talent payment negotiations
  • Highly organized and solutions-focused
  • Positive and motivated self-starter
  • Exceptional initiative, pitch-in, multitasking, attention to detail and follow-through skills
  • A calm and patient demeanor when facing stressful situations and urgent deadlines
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and prioritize
