VMLY&R seeks an App Lifecycle Marketing Manager to bring insight in building mobile app experiences for brands that provide their end customers with true value. He or she will use their experience in 1:1 marketing to build intelligent programs for our clients’ mobile apps that help drive new user acquisition, educates users about the app, and nurtures them towards higher levels of engagement and retention. The App Lifecycle Marketing Manager will play a key role in app message development, app strategy, app analytics, and omni-channel journeys to support a broad client list across VMLY&R.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support planning and execution of the full app lifecycle including: User acquisition, user on-boarding, retention and engagement strategies, go-to-market activities, App Store Optimization, and app analytics.
  • Build and execute push notifications and in-app messages at key points within the user journey.
  • Work with other channel owners (email, CRM, social, web, SMS, media, etc.) to implement coordinated customer journeys.
  • Create app reports using customer using app analytics tools, app store reviews, and other 1x1 tools with users. Develop app messaging or feature recommendations based off the analysis.
  • Support the broader team in developing the product positioning, value prop, and message strategy
  • Provide thought leadership based on constant monitoring and upkeep on mobile app marketing and user trends across platforms and industries.
  • Combine your marketing and mobile app industry knowledge to help craft the vision and roadmap of a client’s mobile app.
  • Work with the product owner to implement app messaging tools and analytics platforms in development.
  • Engage directly with clients to develop strategic plans, present recommendations, and report results.

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE 

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize
  • Excellent presentation skills (speaking and visual design) required
  • Willingness to learn and adjust based on opportunities, both personally and in industry
  • Ability to travel
  • 2+ years in a marketing communications role (e.g. email, mobile, in-product, paid media, and/or SMS)
  • Analytical thinker comfortable with measuring program performance and recommending areas of opportunity using existing data
  • Bonus for previous experience working on mobile apps in some capacity
  • Experience in working with brands
  • Demonstrated success with client relationships, team management and business development
