We are looking for a Brand Strategist that can help craft creative strategies and briefs based on data and research to inspire unique, break-through creative for an iconic brand. You will ensure that every effort is on brand, on target and ladders back to the goals and objectives of the brand opportunity. You will be supporting department-wide strategic initiatives through intelligence gathering, research design-analysis, and the creation of strategic support materials.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct competitive analyses, review of industry and market research, qualitative analysis, and data mining to inform sound business marketing strategy
  • Demonstrate the ability to process and understand our client’s category, competitive set and their brand and business goals/objectives
  • Uncover digital insights and craft POVs in a collaborative, cross-functional environment
  • Create documentation to support and communicate strategies to internal and external teams and clients
  • Monitor and interpret cultural and social trends relevant to the client’s business
  • Craft creative briefs and remain an active contributor throughout the creative development process
  • Partner with account management, analytics team, and creative team to grow the business

Skills & Experience

  • Strategic/big picture thinker. Ability to problem-solve and work within a team environment
  • Exceptional writing, communication, and presentation skills
  • An innovator and visionary with a creative imagination and a way of working that inspires creativity
  • Proven minimum of a bachelor’s degree and a multidisciplinary background, including developing marketing strategy, consumer insight, and/or account planning
  • 2+ years of marketing experience in a creative agency or marketing department with a creative focus
  • Some quantitative research experience and/or openness to learning (not afraid of numbers and rigor)
  • Some qualitative research experience (focus groups, in-depth interviews, ethnographic research – any type of interviewing skills)
  • Innate curiosity and aptitude to learn about marketing, brands, advertising, communications, culture, people, etc. a burning desire to dig into what makes them tick
  • Creative and/or an appreciation for creativity, desire to be part of a creative environment and is excited about the creative process
