Job Overview:
The Investor Relations and Strategy Analyst will be responsible for supporting the company's communication with the investment community, including investors, analysts, and other stakeholders. The role involves analyzing financial data, preparing reports, and helping to develop strategies to communicate the company's financial performance and strategic initiatives. This position reports to the Senior Associate, Investor Relations & Strategy and is part of the wider Finance organization.
The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of Investor Relations, Investment Banking, Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) or Buyside Investments experience with a focus on the P&C Insurance industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Analysis: Analyze the company's financial statements and performance metrics to provide insights into its financial health and prospects.
- Investor Communication: Assist in the preparation and distribution of quarterly earnings reports, press releases, and other communications to investors and analysts.
- Market Research: Conduct research on industry trends, competitor performance, and market conditions to support investor relations activities.
- Presentation Preparation: Help prepare presentations and other materials for investor meetings, conferences, and roadshows.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Maintain relationships with current and potential investors, analysts, and other stakeholders.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant securities laws and regulations in the communication of financial information.
- Database Management: Maintain and update the investor relations database, including tracking investor inquiries and feedback.
- Event Coordination: Assist in organizing and coordinating investor events, such as earnings calls, annual general meetings, and investor days
- Valuation modeling: Enhance and refine internal valuation model(s)
Skills & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, preferably in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or Business Communications
- Ability to understand, analyst and interpret P&C and A&H Insurance Financial Statements
- 2-3 years of relevant work experience in Investor Relations, Financial Planning & Analysis, Equity Research, Competitive Intelligence, Buyside Investments or Investment Banking; P&C insurance industry experience is favorable
- Adept research and analytical skills, with proficient MS Office skills (especially Excel, PowerPoint and Word)
- Self-starter profile, with the initiative to develop in-house resources and capabilities
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills, ability to manage concurrent priorities and meet deadlines in a pro-active and positive manner
- Strong English verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to interact in a professional manner with varied audiences and executives
- Familiarity with US GAAP and statutory accounting, including both financial statements and regulatory framework. Financial modelling experience is favorable
- Self-sufficiency and ability to work independently, as well as strong collaboration and teamwork skills to cultivate key relationships
- Possess a high level of integrity, confidentiality, ethics and discretion
- Based in New York or London, in office 2+ days a week with ability to travel as necessary
