Join Our Team
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Insurance Regulatory Counsel to join our team. You will report directly to the Head of Regulatory and will be responsible for providing legal and regulatory advice to ensure compliance with state and federal insurance laws and regulations.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Review and analyze state insurance department statutes, regulations, bulletins, etc., to determine new filing and regulatory requirements.
- Stay current on changes and developments that impact insurance design and development, in addition to filing requirements.
- Provide legal advice and support on regulatory compliance matters, including subsidiary governance support.
- Collaborate with various departments to ensure regulatory compliance across the organization.
- Assist in the preparation and submission of regulatory filings and responses to regulatory inquiries.
- Monitor and advise on regulatory developments and trends that may impact the company’s operations.

Your skills and abilities should include:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the bar in at least one U.S. state.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in insurance regulatory law, preferably within a corporate legal department or law firm.
- Strong knowledge of state and federal insurance laws and regulations.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
SALARY: The estimated salary range for this position is $160,000.00 per year to $175,000.00 per year. This is a good-faith assessment of the salary range for this position only. In determining the actual salary within this range, SiriusPoint will consider a candidate’s relevant experience, location, and other job-related factors.
